It's that I can't take any league seriously when SF and StL keep winning it. The NL top seed hasn't won the WS since 1995. It's a farce.

So, if we get to the World Series... we HAVE to win. We can't lose it.

First, however, we should focus on Baltimore, because they could definite beat our ass.
We've never lost to the Cardinals in the Playoffs, NEVER. Why would we be concerned about them?

In all honesty, I would LOVE to play the Cards in the WS. That would be some serious fun.

We went 6-1 vs them.

So the Royals are 10-4 vs the other 3 teams playing.

Hey PB, if the NL is so bad, why did so many AL teams like Detroit and Texas lose to them in the WS?

The Royals might actually have a lower payroll next year than they did this year. Shields, Butler, Willingham, and Aoki will clear up some money. They won't have to pay big money to replace Shields since I think the 5th starter will come from within. If they can pick up a RF and DH via trade versus free agency, they could actually be spending less.
I would like to see them spend some money to extend Gordon so he finishes his career as a Royal. And, there are some guys that will get a raise because of arbitration. But, the Royals' total salary could be less than this year.
I wouldn't mind picking up Aoki's option for next season. He finally started adjusting to AL pitching in the 2nd half.

However, if we believe that we can move forward with Escobar as the leadoff, I wouldn't mind dumping Aoki in favor of a guy with some more power.

We don't have an option on Aoki. He is a free agent per rotoworld.

PB doesn't understand that the AL simply has an advantage over the NL because of the DH. The AL pays a guy that the NL doesn't have to pay...bolstering their lineup giving them a distinct advantage. I'll never get why one league uses a DH and the other one doesn't
