And I think the reason he hasn't won a ring is that his teams ran into better, tougher, and more disciplined opponents in the playoffs. Not because he's ever coasted in the playoffs himself.

What will really piss me off, and I hate the Heat (due to being a Knicks fan - I love LeBron though), is that if the Heat win it all this year everyone goes back to the "They joined forces/cheated/illegal team/etc" argument when the Heat obviously had really large obstacles to overcome and a lot of issues over the course of the season. In the end Miami would have had had just as much a difficult time as any other team would have in order to be the last team standing this season.
So basically I'm glad they've had this losing record vs winning teams, bad runs, etc because if they just kept rolling after the 9-8 start everyone would have used that same argument regardless. If they win it all this year, they earned a ring just like every other team has earned one in the past. This isn't a superteam like everyone thought it was gonna be, but they still might end up being the best team this season.

Watch him play as a rookie. He's increased his range a bit and that's it. He still has no post game. He still has no discernible mid-range game. Kevin Durant's game has improved more over the last 2 seasons than James has over 7. He's a physical marvel that can simply bull his way to 28 points/game. And if he doesn't want contact, he can launch up 3 pointers and hit an okay % of them. Unfortunately, he realized that a long time ago. If you don't see how much more dynamic a player he should be by now, you just don't have a leg to stand on in the argument. At that point, you're just being a fanboi.

The thing he needs to be worked on he apparently hasnt yet, or hasnt at least shown it in games yet and thats the post game. You only ever really see him driving. You see other guys back down players even when in an ISO so they can use their post game. Don tsee that with Lebron. Thats whats holding him back. He takes crazy running left handed hooks and hopes he banks them in high off the glass.
He's in top physical condition thats for sure, to say he's not is just stupid, but he needs to improve that part of his game and sky's the limits. Every analyst and so called NBA expert i have seen says he doesnt want too though. |

For you to say that he doesn't practice enough (or whatever ridiculous argument you were making) is an argument based on no evidence. Don't pretend like you know how he spends his time. And I'm no fanboy, I dislike LeBron. I've said it repeatedly in this thread. |

They are still capable of beating any team in the league, but they cant do it to often against elite teams, because they just dont have the right player fit. There is no way they get passed the elite teams in a 7 game series to win it all. It isnt gogn to happen. Not this year. They need a low post presence or somesort first. |

This is true also. But one thing this year is the Miami team outside the big 3 is complete scrubs. That Cleveland team wasn't made up of complete scrubs and anyone who says it was is an idiot. Varejao was/is very underrated.

James can back down any 1, 2 or 3 in this league. He can back down 80% of the 4s and 50% of the 5s. And the officials would absolutely let him do it. There's no reason at all for LeBron James to ever take a bad shot. There's no reason he'd ever need to take a running leaner or a wild 3 as he's falling out of bounds. He could play at 80% effort and simply muscle his way into the paint if he'd just work on a turnaround J, an effective hook or some kind of up and under move. He needs maybe 2 or 3 post moves to be absolutely unstoppable. But alas, nearly 700 games (!) into his NBA career, he has precisely 0 of them. But KC Connection insists he's busting his ass every offseason to be the best he can be...

I think most people would say he still is a poor 3 point shooter, an average FT shooter, and hasn't developed any kind of post game.

I suspect he hasn't developed a post game because that isn't necessary at all for him to dominate offensively. He's already the most efficient player in the NBA and a much better facilitator when he has the ball in his hands playing the point.

His turnovers are up. His 3pt% is the same, FT% the same. He's improved a little as a rebounder, but in Miami he's pretty much their lone big man so who else is there? He made a huge leap forward in his 2nd year in the league when he adjusted to the speed and that's it. He's not an appreciably better player now than he was when he was 20 years old. What improvements have come have come through simple experience, not added effort.

The interesting thing to watch with LeBron will be whether he makes any adjustments when he begins the decline in his career.
