Rumors on the WVU board that VPI may actually be the first blow struck, going to the SEC. I agree with others that North Carolina makes the most sense if their goal is a TV market, they have to expand the footprint. Would probably love UNC, but will take NC State.

I disagree. I think ND would be better suited in the Big 10. Too much history and money not too. ND can recruit anywhere in the country and their fanbase is nationwide. If the ACC loses FSU, Clemson, and possibly VT and Miami they become the new Big East. Why would ND drop their football program in a football weak conference? They wont for the same reason why they wouldn't for the BE. ND goes wherever they want and they won't plop their cash cow in the ACC if they are forced into a conference.

Going to be fun to see the Big 12 media spin the fact that they are doing the exact same thing that they cried and pouted about the SEC doing.

Pretty funny to be called out for hypocrisy from a fan of a school that pledged commitment to the Big 12 a few months before jumping ship.

I just read this Tallahassee newspaper article that just got put out. In that article, if true, he makes it clear that all football and basketball games are owned by ESPN, including non-conference games. (Any game they don't show, is put on ESPN3 or farmed out)
If true, then the BOT chair is simply wrong when he was ranting about basketball favoritism. However, that said, I'm not impressed at all. In the Big 12, schools have quite a bit of T3 inventory, not talking about coaches shows or internet, I mean real T3 inventory, to sell. Despite giving all their T3 to ESPN, the ACC will still make a ton less. So, that one little aspect of the BOT chair's criticism might be wrong, but it should do absolutely nothing to change where this is apparently going.

FSU's president just put this out:
Quote:
Even though the BOT chair's criticism of the T3 basketball vs football revenue was wrong, that does not change the fact that this was a really, really bad contract. The BOT needs to tell him to get on board or replace him. In fact, as Dan Wetzel reports, the ACC deal is even worse than we all thought. Quote:
