Lebron stans are mad because KD did the super team thing better than he did.

Lebron started this new trend of creating super teams in your prime. It's not the same thing as the Celtics.

The NBA's downfall started with the decision, and KD's power move was just the icing on the cake. I take solace in the irony that Lebron is the one suffering the most from KD's decision though. **** that guy. He got his ass kicked and ran and tried to put together a super team not once but twice. **** the revisionist history bullshit some of you are trying to pull. Was the rest of the league just supposed to sit back and let Lebron continue to surround himself with teams capable of dominating the East every year?

I like Lebron and I have alot of respect for him and he will end up a Top 5 player of All-Time when his career is finished but it is crazy the amount of excuses people give to try to defend him. It seems people forgot that he is the DEFENDING WORLD CHAMPION yet they continue to make excuse after excuse after excuse for him. He is probably the most powerful athlete in any sport EVER and he picks the GM, the HC and all the players. All the excuses are just pathetic and tiresome.

Just in this thread people are saying he basically quits by the 4th quarter because they are down (this is BS) and one of his biggest ball washers Nick Wright now is using the excuse he maybe tired.

Enough..****

Also, the new cba now makes it more possible for stars to switch teams. Really interesting article. Sorry can't figure out how it link it on this damn air pad:
At All-Star weekend in February 2015, approximately 50 players met on Friday night in New York City and decided to reject Silver's so-called smoothing proposal. The union preferred that the cap grow as high as possible, as fast as possible, even if some players benefited more than others. "That's the way of the world," Roberts says. "Michael Jordan didn't make as much money as LeBron James." The cap swelled to $70 million in '15--16, and when the TV money kicked in the following year, it surged to $94.1 million, three times the record for a single-season increase. Before the spike, eight teams had cleared enough cap space to offer Durant a max contract, and only a few of those suitors had a realistic shot of luring him away from Oklahoma City: Boston, Miami and Houston. "That's a typical number," says one Western Conference GM. After the spike, 28 teams were able to land KD, including the one that had just posted the best record in NBA history.

That was a good read thanks. The commish knew what would happen but the players got greedy.

He's passed MJ statistically in just about every category already and is going to shatter nearly every individual record in the history of the game by a wide margin, but it's nice of you to give him at least top 5.

That's the one, thanks for linking. Yes, commish and owners saw it coming. I found the part about Jerry West not liking what GS has become pretty interesting as well.

Asterisk for playing in that weak ass conference. Thanks for showing me how shitty the east is. Now I truly see how little LeBron's stats mean in the grand scheme of things.

Nah Irving and Love sucks. It's not LeBron's fault that those are his teammates. It's not his fault either that Tristan Thompson is on the team doing jack shit. It's also not his fault that Lue is the coach and has no idea how to put players in a position to succeed when LeBron's off the court.

You can't blame any of this on LeBron. He has no control who his teammates are, who his coach is, and what system they run.

He was getting dicked down on the defensive end just like his the rest of his teammates. Not all that perfect.

The best players in both MLB and NBA history would then both have asterisks on their accomplishments from the masses who don't know any better. I'm OK with that.
