Things you will do if we DON'T draft Geno Smith

I thought this would be another great way to prove just how far we will go to get Geno Smith

What is the point of recording a scene if you are just going to let out a huge cackle during the middle of it?

Haha. Yeah I could see him taping his own scene with TV edits to be put on youtube.

That mofo is awesome. We should probably as a society have a RDJ day.

CLX (the newest form of Norman Einstein/all the other mult accounts the dude has had through the years) disagreed with me on a bunch of stuff. I wasn't exactly nice to him, but the dude just has a way of inviting abuse upon himself. Anyway, CLX finds my social libertarian/fiscally conservative political perspective to be anathema. But instead of sharing his ideas and differences like an adult, he just calls me a "liberal" and then walks away like he hit the jackpot of touchy spots.

My story is hardly unique on this forum. I think EVERYBODY has had CLX/Tom come after them like a reeruned chest-pounding one-legged gorilla with absolutely ZERO provocation. It takes you by surprise at first. Then it amuses you, so you engage him for awhile. Then it just gets sad.

I mean, I had BlackBob try to convince me we were running a 3-3-5...does that count?

Imagine if Blackbob spoke in riddles. Angrily. And was always accusing you of something.

There you have it.

It's nice to have you focus on shit that's relevent, like GENO.

Getting Geno is the DC, the Draft, the Pictures and the Lounge all rolled up into one.

Focus.

Don't let the dippy political shit that you can't control effect you. We've/they've/SOC/Chiefs Planet have shown that there is a control effect in place still with sports, even at the highest level.

Washington is a lost cause.

The Chiefs are not.

Geno is the answer.

Focus you.

I stand corrected ... I later learned that Denver must win to have a chance at the #1 seed plus it will be played in Mile High and since this is the AFCW - home team usually (except during the Poili disaster) wins. Yeah, if we play up to our capacity we could ... notice it is could & not will ... win. But, I think we draft first.

In the above post I said I'd just forget the NFL if we don't draft a QB @ #1. Allow me to moderate my stance. If we get a highly recognized GM who knows NFL talent ... i.e. Bill Polian (I like Polian until I saw his age, but the man has built 3 teams to go to the SB ... I think he acquired Jim Kelly & he was wise enough to take Manning and not Leaf) ... and the GM believes all of the QB's in this class will fail, and explains it to us I'll give him a chance. But, if Geno/Wilson/Glennon turns out to be a stud ... I'm gone.

What I will not accept is this whole "he does not have value at #1" but then mock him at #6 or #8 garbage. I'm developing a pet peeve against this whole "value" rating stuff. If a team has a glaring need at a certain position ... i.e. QB ... if there is a player worthy of being drafted anywhere in the first round and he is available when you draft ... you take him. Never mind a wanta be GM sitting in his basement. We actually need a QB worse than Arizona. I can't understand why the dummy said he is a good pick for them and not for us??? Logic says that is just plain stupid!!!!

The value for me is filling the need with a worthy candidate ... not where a player is drafted. Note: I'm not saying taking a player in round one that all other teams rank as a 7th. round ... I mean he must have a chance of filling the need.

Oh, if it were me doing the drafting ... as badly as we need QB's ... note I think we need 3 ... I'd take Geno at 1 and the best available in 2nd (unless the top 6 to 8 are off the boards). If Geno fails, maybe we find our own Kirk Cousins??? I mean what will we give up? Another DT or OL? I believe we have the cap room to fill out the rooster in FA.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
