Bad franchise...bad team...this was a stupid trade for Cleveland and the Colts just got a lot better.
Pure speculation.

There are maybe four running backs in the league that would be worth a first round pick. And Trent Richardson is not one of them.

New remime, new rules.

The Colts just got a guy with knee issues that's averaged 3.5 yards a carry.

in the middle of the season your price goes up. It cost them a first, not because of the demand, but because of the supply.

You clearly hate the trade for the Colts, but once Vick Ballard went down, they had to do something to take the heat off Luck. Richardson is likely better than whatever RB they would draft with that 23rd pick next year. They want to win now, I guess.

But I'm with you. I think it's a stupid move on Indy's part. Just freaking sign McGahee if you're so desperate.

I don't agree. Trent Richardson should thrive in that system that values the power run. They will put him back in the I formation with lots of blockers, and utilize the playaction, throw the ball to him in the flats. this is a perfect fit for him.

Sure, but it's a perfect fit for a lot of guys. I would rather have Willis McGahee and a first round pick than Trent Richardson and no first round pick.

You're just giving up on having another potential playmaker. The Colts still have a lot of holes they need filled.

I don't "hate it", as I have no love or affiliation with either the Colts or Browns. I do, however, believe it was a foolish squandering of a first round pick.

Reggie Wayne is 32 years old, Coby Fleener has been relatively ineffective and they have issues with their offensive line. I believe they would have found a more effective football player in the first round of the 2014 draft than a guy that averages 3.5 yards a carry and 60 yards a game.

He's not A.P, he's not Shady, he's not Jamal Charles and he's not Chris Johnson. He's "Just a Guy", running behind a pretty decent offensive line and not doing much of note.

Recent history proves that it's unnecessary to spend a first round pick on a running back.

When guys like Alfred Morris, Arian Foster, MJD, Charles and others are either third rounders or late rounders (or undrafted), the only reason to spend a first round choice on a running back is if you believe you're getting an A.P. type of player that can put his team on his back and win games for you. Richardson is not that guy.

I really like Giovanni Bernard and he was a second rounder. It's only been a few games but he looks like a keeper. There are guys like that every year.

IMO, this move stinks of Jim Irsay. I realize that they lost Vick Ballard but Indy should have prepared better for his loss. When the Chiefs lost Charles, they didn't trade for a first rounder, they just moved guys up the depth chart and still won 7 games (would have certainly won more had Andrew Luck been the QB).

It's just a bad move on Indy's part and if I were a Cleveland fan, I'd be absolutely stoked that finally, the front office "gets it".

Michael Lombardi's time in the media clearly taught him the same thing it does to fans who watch the whole league every week:

without a QB, you ain't doing shit.

They have a great defense and a great left tackle. Tank this season, come back with the first pick, get your QB, use the second pick on a wide receiver.

Browns fans won't even remember Trent Richardson existed when Bridgewater comes in.

This is where I am at. If this ends with us with Bridgewater, then Ill certainly write a letter of apology.....

Ingram is approaching bust status, especially considering what they gave up to get him (a 2nd and a 1st).

Laughs.

Good. If they didn't see the writing on the wall that the only reason he left was because TRICH was a better player, then **** them.

I hate the saints anyways.

Safe to say power backs are/have died in the NFL? I think so.
