Here is the quote and link to the interview taken in 2007. You will find the quote on page 2. Note the comment by the interviewer, "You are fast." Edward: "You are fast. How fast is your 40?" Bobby: "My 40 is 4.4." http://www.expressfanclub.com/pdf/news/2007news1.pdf |

So is Sippio fast or slow?? Why would they say he is slow if he runs a 4.4?

I don't know why Gary keeps insisting Sippio is fast. He was slow coming out of college and the coaches and Carl all noted he was slow on Hard Knocks. Accept the fact and move on. You don't have to be a burner to be successful. If he runs crisp, clean routes and has good hands it will be enough to make an improvement on this team.

Here is an article from 2003: BOBBY SIPPIO (CB, Western Kentucky): Another standout Hilltopper, Sippio is WKU's career record holder with 19 interceptions and 357 interception return yards. A real playmaker, the 6-3, 215-pounder scored eight career touchdowns on defense and special teams (five interceptions, two punts and a fumble)... He racked up 38 tackles and five interceptions while also registering 16 yards per punt return in 2001...In 2000, he intercepted a school season record 10 passes and set school marks for return yards in a game (82), season (236) and career (321) to become a consensus All-American, the first Hilltopper ever to be named by five different organizations following one season . Sippio finished his career with 179 total stops and 41 career pass breakups. He possesses great size and that coupled with his all-around athleticism should land him on an NFL roster this season. |

I agree with you both, but I had a wasted roster spot anyway, so I picked him up for the bench, just incase. Hey I'll know in a couple weeks if I should even keep him, start him on a bye for T. Holt/T. Owens/ or P. Burress..... I scored 162 points with my starters, I'm not hurting in any area. But if he does good, it could pan out for a bye week, or trade bait. He may never even get a start on my team, even if he starts hualing in 5-8 catches a game, numbers close to three digits and a TD or two. |
