Was the Blackout Successful ?

I'm glad to see how many people this site reached and how much black was in the stands today. I'm proud to be part of a group of fans who WILL make a difference.

Thank you to all who have done the hard-work planning and putting this together.

Yep. The Social networking that is today. Spread the word like wild fire. The Chiefs fans are loyal, passionate and knowledgeable about the game of football for the most part.

The Chiefs' blunders didn't hurt.

They blocked thousands of Chiefs fans from their twat account, they allowed Winston to call out the fans and didn't support them when the media called us lowlife, bloodthirsty rednecks, they used the "#getaclue" tag and the "your choice to be a fan" response to Mr. teedubya's criticism, they ... well, you get the idea.

And, of course, to top it off, they decided it was a smart move to harass, detain, and evict fans who actually took time out of their personal lives to attend another home blowout today.

Forget the boneheaded football moves Pioli's made ... those are legion. But the absolutely imbecilic public relations missteps he's undertaken are the stuff of legends. Someday, a Harvard Business School graduate will write his thesis on this year as a treatise on all the things you don't do when you're losing your fan base through ineptitude.

Every time Pioli reacts to us he steps on his dick.

First there was Winstongate.

Now there's Flyergate.

He is a colossal ****up. He acts like a child in response to people pointing out what a failure he is.

He's a madman. There's no other explanation for his behavior.

He's smart enough to know better and God knows, if he's not, he has access to people who are. This is a man who has lost contact with reality somewhere along the line.

As long as the register is in the black they are going to ignore fans. That's just the way I feel about it. I'm not boycotting, but I'm not going to spend the money to travel to KC, get a motel, pay for meals only to have my heart ripped out by a poorly managed team, poorly coached team and a poor performing team.

Let's see.

This movement has been seen by hundreds of thousands via the banners. This concept and movement has been discussed in both print, radio and tv in the Chiefs viewing region, it's gotten mention and play in major national news and sporting shows and articles, and it was discussed for a couple of minutes on CBS during the blowout loss.

if you don't see this as a victory for SOC...you're dumber than Debbie DoesDallasweiler and the other football racket fans still cheering this 2 clark's 1 cup season.

Thats you as an individual making a decision. As soon as the SOC gets behind a boycott we will lose those type of guys that are in the AP article. Without those long time Season ticket holders on our side, we won't be successful in promoting change.

I have a Holmes and Gonzalez black jerseys. If I wanted to be punished and have gone to the game I would have worn black, but there are fans that had to come up with something black to get there, if it was Chiefs gear they purchased they fed the kitty. If you ate or drank anything while at the stadium you fed the kitty, if you paid for a ticket you fed the kitty.

I suffered through the game with a bunch of friends in the comfort of a friends house. I didn't have to drive back to the airport and fly to the major metropolis I live close to and then drive home. I won all around other than seeing the team I want in the SB suck to infinity again.

If you want change there is no other way to get their attention. If you feel superior because you bought a black shirt and went to the game then I'd deduce that you are the one that is brain dead. You paid to watch a 1-7 team go to 1-8? Sure makes sense to me.

That's all well and dandy, but isn't the point to get change in the organization and not make headlines?

If no change occurs then how was it a success?
