I have been on the other side of disagreements like this before so I sympathize with anyone who really doesn't understand what the rest of us are seeing in it.

I enjoy the shit out of artsy fartsy stuff, especially really visual stuff, but I cannot fathom the acclaim that Wings of Desire (Wim Wenders 1987) gets. I think it is a total piece of shit, but at the same time, I recognize I am in the tiny tiny minority on that one, so I just nod and let it ride. I am not going to be convinced. I watched it repeatedly to try to get what I am missing, and I don't see it.

At the very least. He already has the treatments for the next 2 done and alluded to roughly sketched out additional installments.

I hate that I love, love, love that movie - knowing there's a lot more to the story and it'll never be made.

Update : just saw a UK production company has been supposedly scouting locations for The Real RocknRolla. Apparently, the same company that is working on the sequel to The Layer Cake, titled
Viva la Madness.

I saw this last night. I enjoyed watching it but found myself a bit bored at times and it was incredibly predictable.

I was expecting a little more based on what people were saying. The action and editing were tremendous so if that's all we were looking for then I give it an A.

But it fell short in other areas.

Im curious how many 'new" fans went into this film without having seen the other films? IM guessing this played like a new franchise for alot of people since its been 30 years between films???

None of them are very deep. Its all about atmosphere, action, visuals and amazing world building.

Saw it over the weekend at a place with a very large screen and Dolby Atmos. Agree with the sentiment that its was very badass. Easily one of the best pure action movies in a while.
