I think Romo earned his money. The Cowboys have been irrelevant for a long time but not because of Romo. He has a career 65% completion rate, throws for nearly 8 ypa, and has 100+ more TDs than Alex in the same amount of playing years. If Jerry was more concerned with actually building a team around him instead of throwing the most cash he can at the biggest FA name every single year, then the Cowboys might actually be scary.

What got me heated about the second half was that we still threw the ball a lot and guys were going out of bounds, we were hiking the ball with 8+ seconds on the clock and the team as a whole didn't play with any fire.

To me, those things point to lack of leadership.

Games are not won or lost in the first half so those things don't matter./cp

That's a lot of guys not playing smart. If you have a 28 pt lead fall down in bounds...

talking about drive times makes a good point of how the offense failed though. if they had kept their drives going longer maybe the colts wouldn't have scored so many points...

Yeah, except for the fact that the Chiefs offense held onto the ball in that game for 37 minutes and 33 seconds to the Colts' 22 seconds and 27 minutes, you might have a point. Fact of the matter is, the defense was only on the field for what amounted to about 1/3rd of the game time, and they still couldn't hold a frakken 28 point lead. Yeah, let's all keep pointing fingers at the offense.

The way I see it, the offense could play that exact game, and expect to win 97 out of 100 times.

Just as the offense gets no credit for giving the defense long fields the entire day, first half and second half. Again, when you are up 38 to 10 in the second half, punts are not bad things - you just can't afford a bunch of turnovers deep in your own territory.

again we all know the defense sucked ass, the offense should have noticed and extended a couple drives in the second half and we would have won the game.

the \defense realized how much the offense sucked the first part of the season and carried them...

Eh, defense faced a ton of back-up QBs in the first half of the season. As soon as we went up against starting caliber QBs, our defense folded like a piece of paper.

1 drive, if they could've stopped sucking ass for 1 freaken drive in the second half of that Colts' game, we would have won that playoff game. Hell, if they would have forced the Colts to actually drive the ball down the field even 1 time instead of just allowing Hilton to get behind them without doing a damn thing about it, we would have won.

and?

they were dominant when the offense sucked ass, that's a fact.

we all acknowledge the fact that they sucked ass in the second half of the playoff game.

some just don't want to say the same about the offense...
