PFF Rates Flowers #1 NFL CB Through Week 6

... and Reid says scheme fit wasnt the biggest reason he was let go. He did say he was happy to see him doing well and I can agree with that, I never had a problem with Flowers outside of my, apparently somewhat wrong, belief that he was a bad scheme fit.

There isnt much other Chiefs discussion going on, so heres something else to get mad at each other about...

Great in theory, but the Ravens don't have a player on their D commanding $80 million like we do.

I think we will franchise Houston and bring Tamba back next season. Depends on Houston's deal though.

It's not 80 million in one year though. It can be structured so that it doesn't have such a terrible impact.

He's not getting 80 mil guaranteed.

The cap will jump at least $10 million in 2015, so there will be plenty of room for Houston. It's supposed to jump big time in 2016, with some estimates as high as $160 million.

While I do believe the Chiefs will cut ties with several overpriced players (Fasano, Jenkins, Avery, DeVito and Berry) and will not pay Hali $15 million next year, they'll have plenty of room under the cap for Houston, their draft choices, a free agent WR and plenty of competition players.

Not at all, but you need to structure it so you are ready to pay Poe in 2016. He's gonna comand a lot too.

They might just pay him a lot up front so when Poe is a FA they can use a few million more on his deal the first 2 years after paying Houston $30 million.

Very possible. I think Dorsey will draft a WR or CB in rd 1. Why? Bc he wants to be prepared for Bowe and S. Smith's departure in the next 2 years just like he did with Albert and Tamba.

It's impossible to predict who and what position the Chiefs will draft in round one next year but there are multiple possibilities.
