It's still possible, although not likely, that they could win a playoff game this year. They still control their own destiny for a playoff birth.

As for the Super Bowl, who knows. The NFL is an ever changing league. Did anyone think a few years ago that Seattle was on the brink of winning a Super Bowl? What about the Saints before they acquired Brees?

I choose to believe the Seahags owner made sure he got more than a name when he got his coach. Was there some luck, sure, but I think he created some of his own. Clark's selection of Andy was too much emotion and need for a name than it was the right choice. At some point I'm just tired of our out-of-town owner swinging and missing on the plan, people, and timing.

And I'm sure as hell not OK with his "say nothing" attitude. I'm not asking for a Jerry or a Snyder, but I do want somebody who's willing to speak up when bullshit like Hali's fine isn't questioned after Miller's wasn't. i don't care if it doesn't get it over-turned, I think the league needs to know that he's willing to fight for his guys.

Now, if you had mentioned the Browns and Lions instead of the Saints, yeah, I'd say nothing more than we have company in misery...

Just don't say the owner isn't a key player in a team's success, and the NFL needs to question teams that appear to be perpetual losers. That's bullshit.

Funny that you mentioned Jerrah and Snyder. In your 7 years no playoff win plan, both of those guys would have been forced to sell their team or buy it back at current market value.

How do you know that Ckark didn't call Goodell after the Hali fine? Those type of conversations are rarely made public.

Yep, tey would have, and they should have (had to buy it back). And I think I've been clear that Hunt needs to do something "in public", I don't give a shit about what they've done in private! And knowing Hunt, I doubt it did happen. If he did call RG, I'm sure RG handed the phone to his grand kid and told him to hang up in 2 minutes. IOW, the Hunts havent been a voice at the NFL table for decades, I doubt any complaints they have would be addressed unless those complaints are made in public where the NFL would have to address them (because the media sure will).

Again, I don't think he made any call, he's a coward and will let his team and KC suffer just to stave off any scrutiny from the league. I think the NFL has something on the Hunt family and I think that's why they walk away from every raping like it never happened.

And it's hurting this team. I think when KC "wanted" Manning and he respectfully decided to not even give them a look, that says a lot about the team's image around the league. Granted, only one team was going to get Manning, but what was it about Denver that made him say yes to them and no to KC? Here we are with scrubs galore, and we're still worried about cap, and the Broncos have all these "stars" yet appear to still have cap space to boot. So, evidently he's not a good money guy either! Or, perhaps, players want to flock to places where they can win, so they play for a little less. I don't know, but Hunt's paying a lot of money for a team that gave up a 28 point lead in playoff game, and this year has given up 40+ sacks.

But hey, on offense we have JC on defense we have TH and JH. Could it get any better?

Denver fans are being bitches on facebook, they said Chiefs fans have no right to complain. I would have liked to see them post that at chiefs planet.

I don't gamble, but I would drop some cash on this probability. Something happened in the 60's with the merger, something between Hunt, Davis, and the league that is still ****ing both teams today.

Yes, something happened in the 60s and the Raiders won SuperBowls in 76', 80', and 83', and lost to Tampa in 02'.

Hunt is a well respected owner. This was evident during the last CBA negotiations when he was one of the few owners asked to consistently sit at the bargaining table.

Well their seeming lack of public questioning of all the no-lube ass rapings, and getting to nothing significant since 1969, seem to suggest there might be some truth to it. If not, these are some really unlucky mother****ers and any player staying away from the team would have logic on their side.

Again, the lack of a clearly laid-out plan, so many very broken parts of the field, and no money to fix any of the broken parts sure does paint a gloomy picture for leadership. And their sitting on their hands after last season's player losses sure adds some smudges to the canvas.

I'm not sure I agree. If anything I'd say the other owners appreciate having a team that more often than not won't get in their team's way as they charge towards their goal of another SB win.

As for him being at the CBA table, OK, that's a nice resume bullet for him. But it sure hasn't resulted in anything in terms of great players chomping at the bit to come to KC to the detriment of other franchises to play for him. If Denver's owner wasn't at the table, he sure was doing something to make his team attractive while Clark was busy with keeping the sport going.

Sorry, I just can't stand the family, and I like them owning my city's football team even more. I wish he'd leave this one here and convince the league to expand so he can own one down there.

And always against the tide. Before he went senile, Davis knew how to counter their games and build teams. ****, he was one Rozelle tampering away from claiming Elway.
