What options? There are only what, 5-10 BCS jobs that come open each year. (Don't have the exact number). Waiting for Texas or Alabama or USC? Cool. Do that. For the other 99.9% of the coaching universe you get one of the bottom 50 jobs.


Consider the coaching hires made by Missouri and Kansas over the past 30 years.

MAC Coaches: Kansas (Glen Mason), Missouri (Gary Pinkel).
Old reerun retread: Kansas (Weis), Missouri (Larry Smith)
Desperate for jobs: Mangino, Widenhofer, Stull, Terry Allen.

Just boggles the mind how Weis thinks he can stay in a game throwing the ball this much. Has he not watched us all season? We can't throw, and we can't catch. We're not going to win this game so we might as well try and drain clock every time we get the ball on offense by running it 80% of the time. Why does Charlie want to drag this game out and lose by a larger margin trying to do something we suck at?
