Smith has never had anything close to what Romo, or many of these other "great" QBs, has had in terms of offensive weapons.

Even here in KC, he still doesn't have anything close to what most other QBs have in terms of receivers.

And people wonder why he seemingly never throws to WRs and ends up checking down so much. (Many of those "check downs" are designed plays to get the ball into the hands of our most explosive player(s), Charles. It's the main feature of the Reid offense and yet Smith gets criticized for it. Hilarious.)

CP logic:

Smith doesn't win the game: He is just a game manager. He can't carry the team and it's his fault that we couldn't outscore the opposing team.

Romo (or any other top 15 starting QB) doesn't win: Well his defense let him down. His receivers weren't getting open. His OL can't pass block. It's not his fault, he carried the team; the team just let him down in the end.

Double standards.

They both have the same number of playoff wins... 1.

Oh the age of homer Chief fans. "He's the best QB the team has had since Green so give him a blank check (ignoring the fact that he's a middle of the road starter and not worthy of elite level pay)."

I have never seen a player with more excuses for his play than Alex Smith. Simply amazing.

Is CP going to totally implode when Smith signs a deal similar to Colin Kaepernick's?

Alex had them in the game in OT. Kyle Williams is the one who botched the punt and blew the game.
