Shooting at Arrowhead- Chiefs player commits suicide
No details yet. Just came across on the news.
edit: Sources say the player is Jovan Belcher. Police have yet to confirm. An unnamed Kansas City Chiefs player has committed suicide at the team facility and authorities are on the scene, the police confirmed to ESPN on Saturday morning. Local reports say police are operating with the belief the player fatally shot his girlfriend at a house before driving to Arrowhead Stadium and killing himself at around 8 a.m local time. The Associated Press reported the player's age to be 25. "We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning," the Chiefs said in a statement. "We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation." There were no other injuries at the team facility, police said. The Chiefs (1-10) were preparing to host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. The NFL has told the Panthers to travel as planned to Kansas City on Saturday, the Charlotte Observer has reported, citing interim general manager Brandon Beane. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/86...-team-facility Last edited by MoreLemonPledge; 12-01-2012 at 10:32 AM.. |

2. It does not. 3. The NFL is not willing to risk business with the largest media company in the world in order to move a game. |

He may well have been planning it out for all we know, thinking about for a long time because of whatever reason. If that's true, then of course JB is a cold blooded murderer that deserves a restless afterlife. But we equally do not know if he had a mental disorder either from football, genetics, substance abuse or aliens; that was not picked up on by friends, family or doctors before random emotion overload and irrational acts happened this crazy day. |

2) You have no clue on that 3) And ESPN may not be willing to risk business with the NFL in order to raise a huge fuss about a rescheduling and a regional broadcast after a player from one of the teams went on a murder-suicide. |

Think we're arguing semantics about what can be done and what should be done. I'm not an expert on contract or entertainment law, so I don't know about contractual obligation to only allow ESPN to air football. But common sense tells us the NFL would never do this to ESPN. The NFL can obviously move a game, but there's a reason why it almost never happens. Because it is an absolute nightmare.

How is ESPN risking business with the NFL? The NFL is a customer of ESPN, not the other way around. ESPN is in the business of making money. The idea that they'd be okay with losing millions of dollars, all for the sake of goodwill, is unrealistic. They'll be pissed and they should be. If the NFL lost a shitload of money on this, they'd be pissed too and should be.

Yeah, this is when Dane "wins" because he was told something personally. He knows someone, you see, and it just happens that Dane has been told about the specific aspect of the agreement that speaks to this issue, but he didn't bother to raise that earlier on, and of course it's not something he can prove
Seems legit. |

Right. You know Jenson, we've had this conversation before. I thought you had grown up but instead, you just changed your user name. You're still a kid in Iowa that thinks he knows everything. How many more new user names will you create once you've actually gone into the workforce and actually have experience? |
