So whats the consensus? Does it suck like last years on the next gen systems or is it ok?

I've only played 1 game thus far, will play more tonight.

I enjoyed what I have played, though.

the one thing i love about this game is it cuts down the cheesers for the most part. You cant really roll out of the pocket and throw a perfectly accurate pass across the other side of the field . If you throw across your body, then the pass will be very inaccurate.

there is no need to roll at this point, i see steady pass rush but the pocket gives you about 3-5 seconds

I just played some madden online, and I enjoyed it, but that's probably because I stomped the 35-7. The gameplay still seems funny.

I replayed the ball coming out of croyle's hand on a deep arching pass, and it is laughable.

The positives are, Croyle's not that bad, and most of the cheesing has been cut out from what i've seen.

Still not good.

Challenging sports games dont bother me. Especially in football. I rather it be harder then easier. People can vouch for the kind of time i can put in if i am really enjoying a football game. lol

All rented out here. Block busters are closing down left and right. lol All we have is 1 left. down from 3.

Whatever the default setting is. I'm fairly good at Madden on the Nintendo classic controllers. I may actually have thumped SD 48-0, but not when I can barely manipulate the numchuck thingy.

I moved mine from pro to all pro and was still wiping things up. I jumped it all the way up to all madden but haven't played in that mode yet. I am also going to tinker with the AI settings and see if I can't make the computer a little tougher to play against. I thought I heard you can turn the "All Play" off but I haven't found it yet.

I don't like losing but at the same time after a while it gets pretty boring holding the opponent to 3 and outs while I go 80 yards in 1-2 plays for a TD.

As for the passing, after a lot of reading on the net, it seems the wii selects the "Most Open" WR for you. Now, I was able to do some selecting with the directional buttons on the wii remote but they didn't seem consistent and seemed more to throw to certain areas of the field instead of WRs. On the old version I rented, a button corresponded with a reciever before the snap and wherever that wr went, you could hit that button and throw. Now if the wr I want runs a down an in pattern, he starts off with the left button, but then when he starts across the field the buttons change.

Overall, I like the game on the wii, I just wish it were a bit more challenging and better reciever selection.

Have you tried the "Call Your Shots" yet?

Yeah, but from what I've found so far, that only makes 1 guy a for sure option. I haven't found a way to use it without setting it up every play too, which gets old.
