Shit. Guess the fun's over.
FYI, that girl is real. I was prepared to have her "prove" it with multiple pictures of her assets. At Chiefs games.

Cruising is awesome. We have been on 8. If I can get my levels stabilized, we will try to go on one in March. We have done inside cabin mostly, have done one window and on the Freedom of the Seas we did a window overlooking the main walk way. This time around, we are going to do the Balcony only because it could quite likely be our (my) last cruise. We usually go Western Caribbean but have done Encenada (sp) Mexico and the Bahamas. We will do Western again as that is our favorite. I agree with those that mentioned Cruise Critic. Very useful information. Smuggling bottles is useless anymore, they will get taken and you might get it back the last night of the cruise. Security is much tighter now than it used to be.

There's no way I can go financially or logistically, but the Chiefs are paying in New Orleans the day after our cruise gets back. How awesome would that have been to be able to go to?

I'm all packed and ready to go! I just have to get through work.
We're driving to Baton Rouge tonight. The people I'm going with have family there, so we have a place to crash. Going to Death Valley Saturday night. My second ever college football game, and neither have been Mizzou. Sunday morning, we're heading on down to New Orleans, and our cruise leaves out Monday afternoon. I'm so excited, I can hardly sit still! |

Get your money back. One of those most useless things I have ever done with a big stack of money.

Have a great time!
When I was a kid we used to cruise up and down Blue Ridge, stopping at Paul's for onion rings. But that's quite a bit different than the one you're going on. Well, except they may have onion rings. |

Absolutely loved it! The entire vacation was pure heaven, but I absolutely fell in love with cruising. Can't wait to do it again next year.
The family I went went has several people who can sing, so we went to karaoke after dinner the first night. That's where the guy running it suggested that two people with us try out for the Legends show on the last night of the cruise. They had 10 people dress up as different legends and perform. My best friend was Bruce Springsteen singing Born in the USA (which he hated singing), and his aunt was Cher singing If I Could Turn Back Time. It was a blast to watch. I didn't frequent the casino other than when I was looking for people in our party. I'm not much of a gambler. I ended up spending too much money on some professional pictures. Also, I ended up buying dad two 1L bottles of Captain Morgan's Preferred Stock for $35 (total). Got him a bottle of tequila at one of the port stores in Progreso. We rented a couple of Jeeps in Cozumel, and found an awesome spot on a public beach. The reef there was dead, but there were still a ton of fish living in it. It was also my first time snorkeling. So much fun! The food was amazing. I tried so many different things I'd never had before. Also, it was kind of nice being rocked to sleep by the slight sway of the boat. I think I might miss that the most. |

I should also add in here that I loved the French Quarter in New Orleans. We stayed in a nice little hotel about two blocks from Bourbon Street. I'm kind of glad that we were there on a Sunday night. It was a little more risque than I had imagined. It was fun though. We walked around a ton and took the trolley to various parts of town, too.
Monday morning, before heading to the boat, we had beignets and coffee at Cafe Du Monde in the French Market. YUM! |

I can still feel the boat swaying a few days after a cruise, it's weird.
