"pwn3d" is a cyber-corruption of "owned," as in, to be defeated in an embarrassing way. "Excuse me, miss, I speak jive." |

Using numbers for letters originated in online games long ago where one might be trying to type faster than you can with any degree of accuracy.
Note that the "o" and "0" key are right next to each other on the QWERTY keyboard, thus making words like "0range" or "g0" common typos. Same with "3" and "E", i.e., "sw33t". Or, in this case, "n00b". Another variation is the common gaming term "owned" being spelled "pwned". P and O are right next to each other making it seem likely that "pwned" was originally a typo. |

Even though I refuse to read it, I am getting tired of seeing this thread in the last 10. Please let it die.

Well, I called that one. (with the exception of the Shockey comment) I fully expect the Chiefs to fulfill the rest by laying down in the next two. |

I don't or perhaps maybe I won't think that. I expect to win at home regardless of the the post season implications or lack there of. Especially on holliday games. From my observations with the exceptions of week 15 and what the Chargers and Steelers did playing teams with winning records on the road any time of year is a tough win let alone in december. As much as the Cowboys and Giants games illustrated that to Chiefs Fans the same thing applies to the Chargers and Bengals. If we do tank it at home the next two weeks then that makes a real statement about the 2005 Chiefs from HC to waterboy. If we win the next two games then as much as missing the playoffs hurts going 10-6 isn't bad against a very tough schedule. If we have anything(and that includes the fans) we'll buck up in week 16 and and play and yell our asses off. Hopefully that will lead to win #9. That's all I want right now is a Christmas Eve win and win #9. .....Uhhhhhh....that is all.....I guess PhilFree

Personally, I think that the Chiefs are not only not good enough to play against a playoff caliber team, but I don't think that they're even good enough to make the playoffs. The Chiefs had their chance against the Cowboys and against the Giants. Hell, I guess you could even add the Bills loss and the Chargers loss to that list as well. Any two of those losses turned to a win, the Chiefs would control their own destiny.
As it is, the Chiefs have done like they always do, all but eliminate themselves from the playoffs, and then hope for some miracle to get themselves in. As it is, I think all the miracles are out for the Chiefs. It will either be the Chargers or the Steelers in the playoffs. |
