The charges:

Charge 1. Treason in the first degree for predicting a poor season for the Chiefs.

Charge 2. Treason in the first degree for citing that the Geathers hit on Trent Green was innocent and non-fineworthy.

Charge 3. Treason in the first degree for citing that the Rolle face mask was not an act of evil visited upon a Chief by an opposing player.

Charge 4. (Remanded to lower court - no longer applicable.)

Charge 5. General mayhem.

Here is the process. In order to grant the defendant the right to a speedy trial, we will employ a shortened nine-step process.

Step 1. The prosecution and defense will make their opening statements. We will hear from the lead prosecutor and defender and any assistant prosecutors or defenders who wish to speak as well.

Step 2. The prosecution will make its case. They may call any witnesses needed and present any evidence. At this time, the jury may ask questions for clarification purposes only. (This is an enlightened courtroom.)

Step 3. The defense will make its case, and may cross-examine any prosecution witnesses. At this time, the jury may ask questions for clarification purposes only.

Step 4. The prosecution may make a rebuttal, and may cross-examine any defense witnesses. At this time, the jury may ask questions for clarification purposes only.

Step 5. The prosecution will make their closing statement.

Step 6. The defense will make their closing statement.

Step 7. Jury deliberations.

Step 8. The reading of the verdict.

Step 9. If the defendant is guilty of any charges, the court will provide the sentencing.

The trial begins now, with opening statements by legal counsel.

I don't know, but I do believe the proverb, "Better to let people think you are a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt" is being proven true. I also know that the more stuff he types that I have to read, the stiffer the penalty will be once he is found guilty.

The prosecution has only alledged that Mecca has posted opinions on CP bulletin board, which in no way can be construed as "aid" to the enemy. "Comfort" as it is used with respect to treason cases does not include mere words, but must also be part of an act (an example is providing housing or food to enemy troops or support personnel during time of war).

All of mecca's expressions cited so far by the prosecution are fully protected under Mecca's 1st amendmentment free speech priviledge. In no way does asserting that Antrell Rolle not suffer league punishment or even be accused of a "cheap shot" aids or comforts the enemy.

If the prosecution could prove that mecca's assertion in some way influenced a member of the league office in determining Antrell Rolle's punishment, perhaps the prosecution would have a case. Even in such a situation, since the Cardinals do not play any further games against the Chiefs and are not in the AFC, in no way could any decision favorable to rolle damage the chiefs. Therefore, it is impossible for mecca to have committed treason as understood in american jurisprudence.

This bunch of defenders must really be dense. First off, they allow a jury canidate to remain on the jury that has stated all the way back that he is a hostile witness to the defense.

But that isn't nearly as bad as letting their client handle his own case. The more they let him talk, the worse it's going to be for them.

Yep, they're a Dream Team alright - for the prosecution.

And I hope they kick me off the case quick. That way JimN will owe me on our side bet as to who gets out of duty/kicked off first.
