Who is going to get this when it comes out???? Last year's version was really disappointing so I will be sure to rent Madden 09 first before buying it.

if they would just clone ncaa 09 with nfl teams/stadiums and sub the college anthems for real nfl music instead of that shit music they put in the game, i would buy it

This is probably a stupid question, but it there any cost to signing up and playing online?

And if I were to get on (probably won't be now) I will be playing the Chiefs. You can be Denver or Okland.

OK, I've played several games now and honestly, this just seems too easy. I started this season and faced the bears in the preseason game. I held them to 1 (ONE) (UNO) yard of offense while I racked up 67 points.

I flat out refuse to buy Madden. I don't even know if I'll get NCAA this year, and I love NCAA.

I just played some madden online, and I enjoyed it, but that's probably because I stomped the

35-7. The gameplay still seems funny.

I replayed the ball coming out of croyle's hand on a deep arching pass, and it is laughable.

The positives are, Croyle's not that bad, and most of the cheesing has been cut out from what i've seen.

Still not good.

my buddy calls night before last and tells me to come over hed reserved madden. so i go over and its an hour of him bitching that its to hard. he doesnt like a challenge.

so ya you can rent it.

My wife and kids just got me the new Madden 09. I put it in and am having the same problems as Pastor MikH. How do you select the receivers? I am used to playing on the Nintendo classic controllers for Game Cube. My first Wii Madden 09 ever I beat SD 48-0 but I felt like the game was doing most of the work. I just waved the numchuck and pressed A and Devard Darling was making Jerry Rice look like Johnny Morton.

HELP! How do select the receiver - not on the "called shot" feature, either. I kinda sorta figured that out, but if I want to throw a screen to LJ, how do I select him before waving the wand?

Ditto. i only played one game last night and i was wondering the same thing.

Its almost like they made this game too easy. Just wave the magic Wii stick and the game does the rest for you.

I hope there is a way to customize?

The problem is I built up some nice skills using the Nintendo type controller and now I am back on square one. I think you can adjust the level of difficulty (not sure how) but why would we do that when we are having to learn the hand/eye coord all over again?
