Can we not find a better receiver than Bowe that will cost less? Of course we can and we will. I rather give his money to Houston.
Did you really just say that we have no running game?!?

Of all the excuses made for Alex, this might be the dumbest one I have ever heard. I guess 2nd in the NFL in YPC equates to having "no running game."

How anyone can stand up for Cass- I mean Smith at this point is ludicrous.

Gutless pussy for a chump-ass fan base.

He's right. We have no running game.

Meaning, Andy refuses to run the ball.

I'd have to watch the full play but pulling a guard is probably the best run sell IMO for PA (provided you actually do runs out of that alignment with a pulling guard).

I know JC is a bad man but has our running game been any good lately? No. The blocking has been pathedic. Meanwhile teams like GB can run the ball and Aaron is more deadly than ever. Brady now has a ground game and is more deadly than ever. We have gone backwards for one reason. The OL changed for the worse but this board expects Alex to be super human and just sling it with shit protection and Albert Wilson out there.

Alex Smith is the equalizer.

He makes all WR's, no matter how talented, look the same. We could have JAG at Bowes position and he would produce the same.

Waste of Bowes talent.

Sac I don't see anyone wanting to trade for a 31 year old receiver with multiple years of $14 million coming up.

We're gonna have to cut him and eat the dead money. Thanks Dorsey.

This is bs. He arguably has better receivers now than he did last year' and as far as the running game goes, they're not giving the ball to charles enough either. Just because he didn't bust off a 9 yard run the first time he touches the ball is no excuse to put the ball in smith's hands when it's obvious he isn't even going to try to find open receivers. Even when he does have a clean pocket, he just dumps it off for 3 yards. Quit making excuses, the screenshots from the pittsburgh game make it glaringly obvious he's nothing more than a more conservative version of cassel at this point. He plays like a scared rookie and makes everybody else look bad. There's no excuse for a seasoned veteran qb to miss wide open receivers the way this clown does. There is nothing happening on that field that he hasn't seen hundreds of times, and he STILL can't make defenses pay for their mistakes. **** this guy. They never should have paid him that money.

What dead money?

He violated his contract, from what I understand he is a clean cut.

He actually busted off 10 yards on our first offensive play of the Steelers game.

And then Andy called 7 consecutive pass plays.
