Just let him sit on the bench. If someone gets injured we may need him. Bench time and rest could make him more effective if he was needed. No upside to putting him on IR.

**** you NFL for your shitty refs. Alex Smith was outside of the pocket. It was a terrible grounding penalty call. And I think we all know that if it had been one of their golden boys like Manning he would have been given the benefit of doubt.

Looks like KC got their three good drives all in during the first half. Cautious Alex has been on full display the last two drives - unwilling to throw to open receivers.

Well... That wasn't a bad timeout. If they get a first down, it gives you a shot at the end zone. If you don't, that's not much time for Peyton to go 80 yards. I don't think Alex was cautious toward the end. I'm more upset at mccluster for forcing that goal line possession and the ref for that ridiculous grounding call.

Yep.

Not sure how it looked at home but his last three throws were terrible. Also saw the Manning happy feet show up at the end of the half.
