Please explain to me then why the Broncos keep going out and paying guys to put around Manning? If you just need a big paycheck QB and nothing else, they have one of the greatest QB's of all time and yet they put D. Thomas, J. Thomas, Welker, Sanders, etc etc. If big paycheck QB's are just supposed to elevate everyone around them... why are the donks wasting money on all these big paycheck receivers? Just grab the first guy in through the turn stiles to play TE and Brees will elevate the **** out of that dude. By the way... what is the Saints record? O and 2? They lost to who, the Browns? Not possible, they have a big paycheck QB! Chiefsplanet tells me that is the absolute only thing you need to win any games.

When did I say they shouldn't give him more weapons? I was an advocate for us drafting Marquise Lee.

But to say he has shit weapons is a lie. He has enough to perform well.

The whole "he (pick your favorite QB here) elevates the players around him" is overblown. Someone said it once on ESPN now it has become some intangible measurable for every QB. I think quality receivers "elevate their QB" just as much by making unbelievable catches but no one ever talks about that.

Since you are an Alex Smith fan not a Chiefs fan you wouldn't know that the same support cast can actually rise with a QB. We have seen it happen here in Kansas City in 1993 and 1994.
