Let's ****ing do this.

Last year was a one-of-a-kind, so let's hope the luck carries over to this year, with Brett Veach at the helm for the first time.

Rules:
1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's McCaffrey to Tampa) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").

Someone probably already posted this, but there was something Veach said during his presser last night that explains his approach. It's about 12:30 into the video.

Basically just conveyed how annoyed he was with giving up a 9 minute drive in a home playoff game, and then talked about needing to get tougher. He essentially called out the defense for being pussies. So he's looking for the high motor, don't quit guys even above talent.

How about having a QB that can score a damn point in the 3rd and 4th qtr. Now that the bum is gone we won't have that problem again.

While the guys picked seem to be good picks and should help our defense, I can't help but question the draft strategy. CB and safety were the strength of this draft and an area of need. Isaah Oliver was a first round talent that could have started day 1 for us and he was sitting there for the taking. They did this a couple of years ago. Wide receiver was the strength of the draft and a big need, yet we passed on wide receivers the entire draft. Seems like we took one late. I just don't see why a teams draft strategy would do that. But I guess that's why Veach and Dorsey are GM's and I'm just complaining on an internet message board.
