I'm going to open up the bidding at $250!

Do you happen to have any 4-3 DTs or WLB you'd like to unload? Reason I ask is I have Ziggy Ansah at one end and the other will be held down by Jason Babin and the rookie Glen Foster until next season when I plan to draft/sign another premier pass rusher in free agency. I am weak at DT though. Extremely weak.. |

Who? I don't have much ammunition to pull off a big trade.

76 sandbox bucks for a safety that has 40 tackles no picks no sacks and has a concussion.
He must have a really good PFF rating (isn't that what this goes by?) or I must be missing the trick here. |

I'm interested in Cameron Jordan, Kendall Langford, and Randy Starks as well as Sylvester Williams for depth. What would you be looking for in return? |

When I took over the team, I had Malcolm Floyd and Nate Burleson under contract with Brandon Stokely, Devery Henderson and Jabar Gaffney on expiring contracts. Floyd probably wouldn't be a bad option at #2 but he's hurt and Burleson would maybe be a decent #3 but he's also hurt. So I let the scrubs walk, drafted Robert Woods, and picked up Marlon Brown and Cole Beasley. I'm not doing much better at HB with a banged up Andre Brown, James Starks and Christine Michael. |

My only, and I mean only, trade firepower is Tony G and Owen Daniels.

It had nothing to do with potential for me - I had an immediate need. Conte sucks.
I hate hate HATE the contract and the bidding war. You and I were the only two guys bidding on him, had either one of us pulled the chute at 46, that's where he'd have stayed. The only defense I have for myself is that he wasn't my primary target so I back-burnered him until I got the guy I really wanted in Jerry Hughes (still surprised there wasn't more interest in that guy). I made sure my Hughes bid would go final before Iloka's bidding expired. That's why I threw a couple of $1 bids in there; to milk that bidding process long enough to get Hughes posted and purchased. Once that happened I had a roster at 53 men and I wasn't going to be able to win the Thomas sweepstakes. Signing another 5 guys with the money didn't do me any good; it needed to go to one guy at the position I most needed help at. That ended up being FS. My alternative was to bank it at a 50% discount for next season. At that point I'd be spending 1/2 of it on a pure tax penalty. So the 'true' cost of Iloka was really just the 38 I could've carried into 2014. !@#$ it - I'm gonna spend it instead.
