Wow that was a lot of fun. Good game KU. Tyshawn played the last 2 games as good as I've ever seen him play.

I was giving Withey a lot of flak in November, but he's really become one of the best bigs in the B12. He's providing consistent effort and defence each night, which is more than I'd ever thought I'd see from him. I'm not surprised that TRob, Tyshawn, and Releford have played well, but it's Withey's progression as a player that's made KU as good as they are right now.

Jeff Withey's block rate is the 3rd highest in the NCAA and higher than Cole Aldrich's ever was. He's not nearly as good a rebounder as Cole, but for him to be that kind of presence defensively is fantastic.

lol, Withey can't touch Cole's jock strap, don't even try to compare those 2. Cole is legendary.

Aldrich was a great player. IMO, he was this team's most valuable player for two seasons and one of the most valuable players in the NCAA. Withey is not him and never will be. But the fact that his block rate is even better than Aldrich's at this stage is incredibly impressive. That was the point of the comment, it wasn't made to denigrate Aldrich's accomplishments. It was to show how good Withey is actually doing and how he's been underrated by the majority of the fans.
