We've spent the past few months bitching that this team is in terrible cap shape to even re-sign Houston let alone Poe, and we're pissed about... a ****ing Guard?

He also seems disinterested, hence the fumbles.

I understand that the guys were stunned at Berry's cancer revelation and are still bummed out. But good leadership by the head coach should have made the difference but instead, they've lost three out of their last four.

I think whatever "magic" Andy Reid possessed in his first six seasons in Philly is gone. And the sooner the Clark's realize this, the better.

Although in typical Chiefs fashion, I'm sure he'll remain in control until he's dropped off a cliff or quits.

You cannot blame the Defense this year... I mean you had M.Devito out, D.Johnson out. E.Berry out(For important stretch of the year)

If anything, it takes time to build a team. Right now the way I see this team is... a mixed of pretty good D/mixed O.

I'm saying this for simply the fact that this team was 2-14 2years ago(Yes they had Pioli/Crennell and every ****ing hack that NE has given the Chiefs)

But anyways, last year they had an easy schedule, it happens. This year, they had some injuries, and to be frankly honest with you people... NO WRs. Bowe is a good 2nd WR getting paid like a #1 WR. I simply don't see it. Smith isn't made for Reid's playcalling,

I mean... Could you imagine Smith throwing that 26yard pass to F.Mitchell in that 4th and 26 vs the Packers back in 03-04?

A.Smith is more of the QB that Schotty would of dreamed to have back in the 90s. Risk free of turnovers. Check downs. Move the chains. Let the D do his job.

Which to me is appalling when you look at the way that Reid has coached the Philly E(Outside of the J.Johnson years....the D was... hum not that good)

I agree the D isn't the main problem. Sure enough we've been gashed in the run game, but the absence of DJ, DeVito, and now Berry highlight their importance. I don't think that would have been the case had they been there. Sutton has done a great job in patching things together.
I'm not real happy about our WR corps. Considering our #1 is Bowe and our #2 is whoever, that leaves a lot to be desired. That issue needs to be addressed during the offseason.
But the main blame has to go to the OL. Let's say you do have a 4.4 WR, how long does it take him to get 20 yards downfield? Best scenario, 2.1 seconds. Now, is he open? Crap, when our QB is running for his life after 2.5 or so, how do you expect him to go through his progressions? The O-line must be addressed first.

At the end of the day it falls on the people making the personnel and coaching decisions. We all knew WR and OL were deficient before the season started and no upgrades were made by draft or free agency except Albert Wilson who was a complete gamble.

Looks to me that most of the pass play designs are to read the field short and then deeper if time is there to, and the short option isn't there. This can get frustrating to watch, as it sure makes it look like a deep option was missed.. but if the short is there and the ball is on its way, then that's that.

This is not to say that at times, Smith doesn't simply chicken out on the deeper and hit his shorter option. He does.. and he does it because he lacks faith in both the pass pro and the deeper targets. Right or wrong, sometimes, he just has to give em a chance.

Andy Reid, and John Dorsey.

Alex Smith isn't to blame. He hasn't changed, he's the same scared to make a mistake qb he has been for the last 4 seasons.

Not sure I put that much on Dorsey as much as Reid.

He's been put in a difficult position to succeed so far.

Dorsey is ultimately responsible for the qb receivers and oline. He better fix all of that this off-season.

Well except the qb. They already screwed that pooch.

I think Reid is the guy who wanted Alex. Not Dorsey. He is just a yes man.
Add in a shit draft his first time and no 2nd rd picks yet. Hard to build in those circumstances.

Even with Dorsey's plan we were good enough to play in the postseason. Gotta blame Reid for losing games this year.

Dorsey is the one who thought it would be OK going into the season with a depleted O-line and WR corps. Those were the biggest weakness going into the season and the biggest weakness going out of it.

That's why I said Reid and Dorsey. And in that order. If they were going to get Alex Smith they needed to get weapons around him. And in this last draft class they took a olb and pissed on several wide receivers that could of helped. Jordan Matthews, Kelvin Benjamin, among others. For the chiefs to succeed with Alex Smith they are going to have to load up on the offense.
