Good luck Mr. Buehler you will be a great dad.
It's the teenage years you got to prepare yourself for and you got to expect the unexpected. Those years come quicker than you think so it is never too soon to read about behaviors and take parenting classes just for teens. |

I guess I should rephrase my statement. I think Mrs Buehler445 and I are as prepared mentally and philosophically as possible as well as having done all the research we know to do, but there is a list as long as Kendrick Lewis' list of haters of shit we need to buy and get done before she comes. The date is 3/2/14 and if she comes a couple weeks early, we're pretty boned.
That's what I meant by unready. |

Nothing is worse than the first year of their lives. I'll take a sassy teen any day over a screaming baby every night at 3am. That said the best ages are clearly about 4-9.

Raising young kids is easy most of the time, but I gave up almost all of my immature impulses to commit to them.
Easy decision, but a lot of people just don't "get it". They want to keep partying, playing video games, etc. That stuff pales in comparison to bonding with your kids. I have a feeling you do "get it", Mr. Buehler. |

I'm not trying to dodge your question, but that is how it goes with kids. Find out where you can get good diapers at a location near you and go for that. And diapers are expensive. Here is a link that gives an idea of how a diaper costs and how many you should have in stock to get through different weight gains/sizes: http://www.southernsavers.com/2012/0...at-what-price/ |

The first diaper will be a horror show.
Imagine a road-sealing machine taking a dump into a diaper. That's what you will find. |

First kid you usually buy the expensive cute diapers but eventually you learn. Huggies swaddlers when they're fresh out of the box and then generic the rest of the way. Don't go too cheap, they start feeling like plastic but any generic with a recognizable cartoon character printed on it is all you'll ever need.
Have fun! 15 - 20 diaper changes a day the first few weeks. But those at least don't smell.
