The MIA Heat Show Thread

LA will be dethroned. The LAC Lake Show will be dead. So it's time to create a thread to follow the new dynasty.

Going on tour starting this October.

A bench with Z @ C and Haslem @ PF works. Z would stretch the D and Haslem is the definition of scrappy. True we need to find a big to start. There's been talk of Kwame Brown. He can at least be a big and does not need to score. Bringing back Joel Anthony is another option. We'll see who Riley targets.

So who is the starting center? And no it isn't Bosh. Kwame doesn't work either.

Agreed on Haslem being a nice bench/energy PF.

TBD

Joel Anthony is a possibility. In 16 starts last season he averaged 5pts, 5 boards and 2 blocks. Bosh crashes boards already (averages 11rpg).

Some suggest Shaq. I'm not a big fan of that due to the way he acted the last time he was here & when he left. He's an ass and has an ego bigger than Wade/Bron/Bosh combined. But, whatever..

We'll see who Riles gets.

If they do get to the finals (which I doubt)

Ron Artest guards Lebron
Kobe locks Wade down
Gasol handles Bosh

I dont really see a problem there, to be honest, from a Lakers point of view. We would OWN the boards and would create multiple matchup problems with them, thus not allowing them to run.

After that, the rest of the Lakers have carte blanche

Bynum
Odom
Sasha
thats not counting whoever else we add to the puzzle as Im sure Mitch is looking for the countershot

Miamis best case scenario IMO is to add Fisher, Miller (Mike and Brad), Shaq and another big man.

If they do something on that level, we'll talk...till then bandwagon bitches (not you of course Mr Awesome)

Last year, each on separate teams:

Wade vs LAL - 26.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 11.5apg (1-1 record)
Bron vs LAL - 31.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 9apg (2-0 record)
Bosh vs LAL - 20ppg, 10rpg, 3apg (1-1 record)

But Kobe, Artest, Gasol will shut them down without a problem.

Heat definitely need to get some big men for D & rebounds, but I trust Riley will figure it all out. He's gotten everything he's wanted so far this offseason.

Of course they will, but you are missing the meat of this. They will be limited by the shear amount of shots available in any given game and will be shooting lower percentages against great defenders and right now the role players they have cant stand up to the ones that the better teams have. Most notably the Lakers role players. That is EASILY where the difference lies the deeper you get into the playoffs.

but what you are forgetting is that, all 3 of them will never ever average what you threw out. THey all played on different teams and not the same team.

Them stats you threw out dont mean shit now. Lakers still have a number 1 and he's the offense. No one on the Lakers has to scale down their game AT ALL.

Anyways, heat hasnt done shit yet. Lakers are the champs and will be there again come 2011.

reading comprehension problem much Mr Awesome?

Im saying that the Lakers have fits against those three (not at all that they will "shut them down") and the difference maker is the production from the role players.

Also, you can take those stats and throw that garbage to someone that doesnt understand that there is only one ball, those stats were achieved by each player being the #1 option on their respective team.

The stats were only to represent that those guys weren't 'shut down' when they were on their own. No way do they get 'shut down' together. Of course their averages will change.

The main problem, especially with Mike Miller, is you can't double anyone. If a team doubles then one of the 4 will be wide open or whoever they plug in at C will get an easy dunk.
