Im taking things back...I hope the Chiefs tank the season

Before I said I wanted the Chiefs to be successful this season but now I changed my mind.

I honestly hope they fail. I know I look stupid for saying this, but I really don't give a sh*t. Please bear with me here and I'll give you my explanations as to why I want them to fail this season.

I just simply think now is the right time for them to do that. That is all. I have come to the conclusion and decided that we are not going anywhere with Cassel. Im not placing my hopes in him. **** it. I lost faith. He is not the answer. And I am now jumping on the bandwagon with the rest of the fans out there that we should draft a quarterback in the first round. Luck? possibly? It is wishful thinking at this point but I would never rule it out as a possiblity. You just never know.

But I would love and absolutely love to have Andrew Luck. The guy is a gamer and will be an excellent NFL quarterback imo. But what will it take to get him? Thats the question. Do we have to finish in the bottom 5 in the league? Or, will he go #1 overall? I don't know. I can't see us being the worst team in the league. We have too much talent. But for once, I want this thing to be right for **** sakes. We do this by drafting a QB in the first. **** these journeyman no good projectory quarterbacks. they get you nothing in the end except 9-7 or 10-6 seasons at best. which is exactly what happened last year. Instead, I want the homerun. In fact, I want the grandslam. Im thinking big. Even if it means sacrificing this season to ensure a better longterm future. Im relying on hope brothers and sisters.

I repeat, this team has a lot of talent. In fact, we have an abundance of talent. We have enough talent and good coaching on defense to be a top 10 D. We have a great running game, good young interior Olineman, good Wrs, good TE. The Chiefs are not that far off, believe me. But, we are missing a few big components that could easily make this team a failure and set them back a year or two. One of those is we lack a true legit QB, and a set of bookend OT's. Those are BIG BIG pieces to the puzzle of a championship team.

I think Cassel is going to lose us games this year. Teams will be prepared to shut down the running game and we will be forced to pass. We don't have the QB or OTs to make an effective passing game. I don't expect us to improve in pass offense. Plus, we lost Charlie Weis as OC. I thought he made up for a lot. Big big loss there. One of the brightest minds in the game. And we have one of the worst offensive coaches in Bill Muir running the show. The offense will sputter big time this season. The defense will do its job but will be on the field long enough to wear down in games thanks in large part to the uncomplimentary offense we have. Do that against good teams and you're done. And we are going to play a lot of good teams. So.....the fact, we have a tough schedule, this team could be in for a long, losing season. It seriously wouldn't surprise me? there is nothing I have seen this preseason to say, "yeah this team has it." Nothing like that. They have been a joke. I know, I know its preseason. As most would say, big effing deal. IT IS A BIG DEAL! We should care because its part of preparation. Just the fact that Haley is not concerned about preseason and treating it like scrimmage raises a big red flag. What kind of a ****ing NFL coach does that? honestly. Who has done that this year? Nobody except boneheaded Todd. **** him. If he ****'s this season up because of that, he should be out the door. And that may be worth it? It might not be a bad thing if we could get a REAL coach and quarterback in here.

Haley can easily screw this thing up. He makes a lot of boneheaded/head scratching decisions at times. Lets face it, he had a lot of help last year with Weis. Lets see how good he really is without a bright offensive mind.
I just don't have a good feeling about him at all. He is going to **** us up and run us down to the ground.

You put Roethlisberger on that Giant team, and they get to more than one SB.

You put Eli on that Steeler team, and they might have gotten to that first SB, but no way in hell does he take them to the other two, and win the 2nd, because Roethlsberger, until that final failed possession against Green Bay, consistently came up big in big moments.

Couple of questions about post #210.

How long does it take to make a post like that? And how do you you know when you have just the perfect amount of "AH's", and not one too few or one too many?

Eli can be good. His problem is just consistency. He really made a lot of big plays during that Super Bowl run. I don't know what happened, but he regressed after that season.

Why crucify RedThat? Not one of yall have thought the same thing? Granted you don't post it for all the world to see. You may talk to a buddy about it over some bruskies but still. Not defending in the least. Can't anyone remotely understand his hopelessness? Get him therapy, don't rape him. Fans are family right?

During that SB run, he made on huge play, the Tyree helmet catch.

The rest of the plays he made were simply making good reads and good throws, which he hasn't done consistently before or since.

Which is essentially what I was saying.

Hell NO! I would NEVER want my favorite team to EVER tank. Just to take the chance to get the #1 pick. That might pan out. What horse shit!

I've been a fan of this team for over 40 years, and not once in all that time have I thought that I wanted them to tank a season.

They've pissed me off plenty, but there's no way in hell I can understand this thought process.

I never take the games seriously. I learned. Im fair weathered when it comes to sports. thats my attitude. but when it comes to other things in life, im different.

If they lose, there is always tomorrow and I'd have other things to look forward to.

If they win, great. If not, meh.

I prioritize my life over football because its more meaningful. To me, living a life right now is meaningful. If they lose a football game, no big deal? that doesnt mean i would all get fussed out and upset and allow it to rob me from living.

Im riding off the emotion of hope. Which is positive. this may sound confusing, but this emotion of hope is being represented in a unfortunate way. i.e., chiefs tank season (misfortune), hope(Andrew Luck). the silver lining lies in between the dark cloud so to speak.
