Franchise tag deadline is tomorrow at 3pm.

Is it possible they are letting both players walk? Haven't heard a thing.

Your interpretation makes more sense, IMO. If that Carrington statement is right, it sounds to me like they'd like to sign both guys. It makes no sense to believe that they'd want to sign one and franchise the other and that they're indifferent as to which one gets franchised.

I don't think the players have to be too consumed with the negotations. They've got agents for that.

It looks like Bowe and Colquitt are trying to tell us something. Possibly that they need Clark to put some green in their pockets.

Exactly - the Chiefs should force the hand - not the players.

And I still think that the player more likely to sign a contract today (or in the next 24-48) hours is Bowe. I think they're going to let Albert set his market value with FA.

If I had multi-millions of dollars being negotiated about me during a pretty important deadline, I'm pretty sure I'd want to be present in the talks. Especially since his agent hasn't exactly been doing stellar work so far in this process.. The dude is in Miami right now, where is the concern of him no longer being a Chief??

some team will absolutely overpay for Albert in FA and this place is going to be really upset when its a counterproductive pick at #1 overall cause the FO left a huge gaping void at LT on the roster prior to draft day

I'm gonna be so pissed if we let Albert walk and he signs with the Chargers. That would be a huge strike against Dorsey/Reid.

I doubt that that happens very often. I suspect that agents prefer to represent without the client present and that team GMs would rather have the player in the room.

Most of this probably doesn't even take place face to face in the first place.

That would be stupid and a surefire way to lose him.
