Remember, Jar Jar stepped in the poopie to make the little kids laugh and forget that the horrifying plot of Episode I centered around settling disputes over the taxation of trade routes.

There's some points the poster made in there that makes me look at some of those moves in another light... it would have actually been a brilliant reveal..and prob wouldn't of have dooku pasted in.

Actually, it would really be good.

What if the whole "Meeesa a bumbling idiot Anni" schtick got turned off at the reveal and he actual became this cold, calculating menace that exuded power and hatred. It would make the prequels, almost watchable. The whole Count Duku thing would have never happened. The fight with Obi-wan, Anikan and Duku could have been subbed for the Emperor and and Darth Binks reveal. No one dies, but Anakin gets captured, and tortured and lied to, which causes the fall to Vader. A story line like that is way better than the shitty one they actually put on film.

I actually kind of believe this was his original purpose in the prequels, but then it got changed due to the utter hatred of him by the fans. Had Lucas actually followed through with it, instead of just writing him out of Epi. II and III, it would have been pretty epic.

No, that's the dumbest ****ing thing I've ever heard. If you really believe this was the secret plan, but they changed the entire underlying story after the first film, then you need to go drink antifreeze immediately. Lots.

I always wondered this: why was Obi Wan the only jedi to die by disappearing?

He didn't get cut he just immediately turned into a force ghost or whatever. I don't remember this ever happening again...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

We saw Darth Vader swing his lightsaber, so it was implied. It would have been too graphic to actually show him beheaded in a 1977 PG film.

Right, but that's how it happened, and it was important to the story.

Just wondering why they never explained it or even touched on it again over 5 movies...

Yoda disappeared when he died but Vader didn't disappear yet he's Jedi Ghost?

Also, how did they get Vader's costume to burn at the end of ROTJ when he was in the Death Star that blew up?

At the end of RotS, doesn't Yoda tell Obi-Wan that his former master found a way to transcend death or become even more powerful or something like that. I feel like that whole thing was to describe Obi-Wan's vanishing.

Luke dragged him to the shuttle, fully clothed.

Anakin is a Force Ghost because he was created by the Force.

The theory I've always heard about Obi Wan and Yoda disappearing, but not Qui Gon was that both were prepared to die.
