Meh, it's not a huge bummer.

I like basketball, okay, but it's not that huge in my life. Would I rather see Mizzou basketball win? Sure, that's fun. I'd like to see them win in all sports.
But when football goes bad, that makes a little more difference to me. I get pretty down about the games and still watch them all.

It's just a difference in sports. I assume I'm not alone. But basketball, to me, is just a distraction between football and more football.

Same thing happened with Weis. He was gonna clean up the program, instill discipline, blah blah. KU fans convinced themselves there was an "academic mess" so awful that Weis saved the program from cataclysmic doom. Last we saw of Uncle Charlie, he was showing discipline by falling asleep in team meetings.

This much is certain. KA is a plague, and this program will never be competitive with him at the helm.

I'm still not hopeful about the Chiefs. KU Football has had recent success so I don't think they are that far off.

MU has had no success and now is bordering on a run of terrible play it might defy modern day standards.

Academics were never a problem at KU. Weis completely fabricated all of it.

Not really accurate. Mizzou basketball was in the Elite 8 in 2009, one year after Kansas' one successful football season. Both programs have gone in the toilet since.

Mizzou had a chance to make up for the blunder of hiring Haith and they tried to do that by hiring KA. Absolutely brutal, will set the program back years.

I don't see how it's settling to use the only method fans have to effect change, which is to vote with their wallets. What are the fans who care about the basketball program supposed to do mid-season other than not show up?

Missouri averaged 65k for football in 2014 and attendance was up over 2013. This is not a disengaged fan base, or one that doesn't care about winning.
