See, this is where you lose me. We had, what 22 turnovers and how many of them were just completely unforced? At least half of them. And we lost by 7. We had that game well under control until they got lazy. There was no reason we should have lost that game - we gave the game to them.

So you are telling me that during the tourney we wont have unforced turnovers?

This team (if uncorked their heads from ass) could run the table with ease. But way too many WTF moments to think they will.

Granted they are still just kids... Sometimes I forget that.

Man, it sure does suck that KU is the only team in the nation with flaws in their game. We all know the other #1 and #2 seeds are pretty much bulletproof. We're going to have to give whatever #16 and #8/#9 seed we play that first weekend all that we have got, or we'll be shipping back home early!

I’m just hoping that the brutal schedule pays off in the dance. While other teams played against a tournament team every once in a while, something like 60% of our schedule was against a tournament team, including (IIRC) a stretch of about 12 games.


That’s why I don’t care what we do in the conference tournament. These guys have to be worn down after having to bring it against a good/great foe every game. Give me a Thursday loss and a week to rest up for all I care.

On the other side of the coin, I’m glad the Big 12 moved the championship up from Sunday to Saturday. Even a sweep through the thing leaves open the possibility of having 6 days between games.

Facts are hard, but not for Pablo.... like how the number of teams they've lost to because of hot 3 point shooting (2, maybe?) is about the same or maybe even less than the number of teams they've beaten despite a hot 3 point shooter.... or how their two point defense will go much, much, much further in determining how long they last, for numerous reasons.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. You could argue that with all the seniors on the team they were more consistent but the 3 game skid looms large. The conference is better and we performed better in it.

Man, I feel you. Early exits don't surprise me, but this team full of freshman (read: inconsistent) owned the best league in the nation by a country mile. They've had bad games but so have Cuse Puke and Florida. He'll the team that Wichita state just embarrassed almost caught them in their place, and I don't think anyone will argue that Missouri State is a good team.

All teams have bad games. That's what makes the tournament a crapshoot as KCC puts it.

This KU team is ****ing good. Don't lose sight of it.
