The Raiders have been crap since Al Davis decided that he was a better football man than Jon Gruden.

David Carr was sacked 76 times in a single season.

Even the worst O-Lines don't give up that many sacks without help from the QB they are trying to protect.

Carr was sacked nearly 50 times (46, I think) his final season in Houston.

The following season, Schaub and Sage Rosenfels were sacked a total of fewer than 25 times (22, I think), with the single addition of Jordan Black, better known in Kansas City as I-70, to that line.

I'm not saying carr wasn't a problem, but that line his first year didn't help. Also probably helped getting kubiak as a coach as well for schaub

Yep.

I think the Chiefs are willing to pay him but they're not going to give him a bunch of guarantees. They already made that mistake with Bowe.

The 49ers refused to intercept eli, or stop the run game.

That was a hideous performance by the 49ers as a team, and the end of the Kaep package.
Hideous performance as a team? LMFAO!!!!

Alex Smith and his inept play was the reason the 49ers lost that game. Period.

I was talking about the regular season game against the Giants. The one where Alex threw 3 picks. As many points as he put on the board.

He was shit in the playoff game too, though.

So as I was saying earlier, I compared Alex's doings in the 11-20 yard range to Cassel before the trade. I posted this in the original version of this thread months ago:

Certainly 2010 Cassel is no lofty goal to shoot for, but Alex falls short even of that. Both in production in that range, and attacking that area of the field. This is just another reason why I don't want him. He doesn't throw in the 11-20 yard range enough, and he doesn't throw past 20 yards enough.

And here are his numbers from last season in the 11-20 yard range:

Quote:
46 for 85, 863 yards, 54.1%, 10.15 YPA, 6 TD, 4 INT
Once again, he compares poorly to Cassel. 28 fewer attempts. If you are not exploiting this area of the field as much as Cassel, you are not doing your job.

He doesn't throw in the 11-20 yard range enough, and he doesn't throw past 20 yards enough.

Thanks.
