ESPN's 32% ratings crash - layoffs happening

I watch it quite a bit because I love college basketball and watch the MLB during the summer. Also I think the 30-For-30 movies are all quite good. So I'm watching more than I ever have, but apparently nobody else is:

They haven't had to many things I'd watch so far. Nascar much of the morning. I'll watch the sports live show. Football, soccer, and some hockey. That's about it though.

Also, how can they have a show called Fox Soccer Daily if it's not on daily?

What kind of loser writes Keith Olbermann a letter?

They have had more Royals stories than I had seen on ESPN in along time.

FOX Sports Live shits all over SportsCenter. I'm surprised at how well Jay and Dan's act has translated on this side of the border, they fit right in with the overall vibe of the show. And Salaam, McNabb, Roddick, and Payton are actually worth listening to unlike anyone on ESPN.

ESPN's going to have some real problems going forward IMO as FOX continues to add to their lineup. They're getting the US Open starting in 2015 and planning on making a run at the NBA rights when they go up for sale again soon. FOX just needs to stay vigilant about not falling into the bad habits of overt bias towards certain teams/markets, obsessions with certain players, and inane debates over "clutchness" and "legacies" that have ruined ESPN.

The big property is the Big Ten media rights coming up. Remember FOX owns 49% of the Big Ten network.

I'm hoping it's not the same show. I doubt Fox Soccer Channel would stop the show. Hope they're not just sharing it. It'd be nice to get more "local" coverage, so to speak. Fox Soccer News covers world soccer, so there is a lot. It'd be nice to get more concentration on MLS and the US national teams.

Fox Soccer is going away in September. Changing it to a comedy channel. Losing the Premiere League hurt them.

By the way, the anchor on the right needs some real teleprompter work. Less jabbering too....
