Think that will be good for the first 20lbs?

It's not about the diet, it's about discipline...

The Planets gone nostaligic the last couple of days...

I would say that Tribal and Logical's historical looks back were pretty accurate, but I wasnt the only political 'activist' on the old Star BB.

The Star BB was truly a free for all and I joined in 97--I think, it's been too long to remember--just prior to the start of the 13-3 season that ended with the home loss to Denver. The biggest topics back in those days was the great Gannon v. Grbac debates. Those were some of the biggest, throw down, free for alls I can ever remember. There were, obviously, two camps--coined by denise-- as GrBackers and GrBashers--and we argued all the time about it, but it really was touched off during the 97 season and only got worse in 1998.

During those years, we had to wade through a LOT of Denver homer crap...you think Teej is bad with his homerish takes? It was nothing compared to Vance Johnson. Ive still got some stuff of his in my notepad file. The only Bronco fan to survive the old board was Mile High Mania. Other AFCW fans included Joe Seahawk and by the end of the Star days we had a few Raider fans--Hawaiianboy was the main one with denise coming in a close second.

Politics pretty much ruled the offseason, but it wasnt the nonsense that we live with today with all the Bush Lied People Died crap...it was more a current headline made news and typically people would divide up on either side of the issue and argue it for hours. In those days, you could be aligned with a couple of people that you were arguing against the previous day. I think it kept the board a bit fresh, because we could disagree without disagreeable--well most of us could.

At some point, leading up to the Bush/Gore Election--the main admin of the Star BB decided without any kind of announcement to ban all politics related threads and the authors of the threads. It was at that point that a good number of us with Kyle as our pied piper, who left the Star BB for ChiefsPlanet.

Shortly after the 'split', the Star announced they would be shutting the BB down to retool it. After the shutdown, most of the remaining die hards who held out to the last came over with a small contingent going to Pigskin Park. Pigskin's days were numbered when a poster created the alter ego 'KCGannonStalker' and parodied denise's web shrine to Rich Gannon. This led her to go ballistic and begin abusing her mod powers. While that didnt kill the Park, it did it significant damage and shortly thereafter it died when Jawaba stopped hosting the site.

Some of the other members on the 'mayflower' that havent yet been mentioned include:

Baby Lee
Clint in Witchita
Brock
Kurt S. -- was clayshootr or something like that
JOhn
ChiTown
Iowanian
Bwana
HC_Chief
DartGod
stevieray

Please forgive me if Ive missed some, and Im sure I have...
