Complete Laker domination for several years to come is what you're going to see.

How many "best in their generation" Centers have the Lakers had? It's nuts. From Mikan to Wilt to Kareem to Shaq to Howard.

Good thing I'm not that huge a B-Ball fan anymore. And people hate the Yankees. Yeesh.
I know. It's absurd as hell. At least Orlando got Dwight out of their conference I guess. Beats setting the Nets up with a powerhouse team.

I don't know about years to come. Kobe, Pau, and Artest only have 2 years left. Nash is 38 with 3 years left.

Gonna be interesting to see what they do when virtually their entire starting lineup leaves in the same year.

It's a good thing they traded for Nash because if they didn't all you would have to say was "beat Mike Brown."

Kobe seems a bit more than 2 years away from being all used up. And if you mean his contract with the Lakers, then you can give me a break. He'd play for a buck a year if he thought he could win more Championships in a Lakers' uniform. He's a Laker for life, without question.

The rest, you're right, but they have a great core to rebuild around once these older guys retire. You think Howard and just the right to wear a Lakers uniform isn't a huge draw to any free agent??

They didn't bend over. 3 teams got better. One team wanted to completely start over without taking a bullshit Max contract in brook Lopez.

well in the Nuggets case, it's interesting. How much better did they actually get? from a 7th or 8th seed to a 6th seed?

Ty Lawson
Iggy
Gallo
Faired
Big JaVale

I don't know about that.

the only one that actually got better (not counting the Lakers) was the 76ers. In a weak east they definitely jump up from anywhere to a 2-4 seed, probably will now be able to hang with everyone but the Heat in the East.

Its still better. For the nuggets it was worth it. Why wouldn't they be in the trade? They weren't in a completely rebuild mode like Orlando is doing.

well my question is, why do the Nuggets even need Iggy

they gave up a decent SG and Big Shot Al and picks just to do it. They are now what the Sixers were with Iggy but in the West, fringe 6-8 seed that goes nowhere in the playoffs

at least the Sixers will now have two 7 footers, all things considered, that's tough to match up with in the NBA, same with the Lakers
