Exactly the case! - The KEY point being IF you go with Smith, and they clearly did, then you get him weapons AND protection because he is NOT the type of QB that can carry a team and /or hide its weaknesses. He needs most everything around him to be right in order to have marked success.

Which is exactly what the Bengals did for Dalton.

In his four years as starter.

They have added.

Mohammed Sanu, Tyler Eifert, gio bernard, Jeremy Hill, drafted Aj Green with him. Kevin Zeitler a guard, on top of having a very good oline.

Add in a shit draft his first time and no 2nd rd picks yet. Hard to build in those circumstances.

Even with Dorsey's plan we were good enough to play in the postseason. Gotta blame Reid for losing games this year.

Yup and I fully expect Dorsey to load up on this offense this offseason. I'm talking 3 new starters on offense next year.

Hope he builds it like the Steelers. Speed kills.

He'll still blow it just like Alex will. In the end you can only do so much. It's going to come down to the QB at some point.

I think whatever "magic" Andy Reid possessed in his first six seasons in Philly is gone. And the sooner the Clark's realize this, the better.

Although in typical Chiefs fashion, I'm sure he'll remain in control until he's dropped off a cliff or quits.
How did you come to that? I he seems very engaged to me but because we can't block or hold a block he's gotten jacked up a lot this year.

Well I agree. But if you are going that way you have to build around him.

No douche. I know his limitedness. I was referring to your douchey nature of calling him Alexis.

Tired of hearing that bullshit. We have more weapons then NE. Montana had Willie Davis, JJ Birden and Fred Jones. Keith Cash as TE.

Bullshit. Tired of excuses for our mediocre game managing QBs. Everybody said the same thing about Cassell. "the line, WRs, etc."

BULLSHIT!!!

I hope Dorsey goes into this offseason being aggressive. No more 1st rd picks sitting on the bench or developing.

We need impact players and we need them now.

And they will STILL fall short because Dalton don't have it. They do not have the 2000 Ravens defense.

In a perfect world where you can have a top 5 defense, top 5 receiver corps, top 5 RBs, top 5 TEs, top 5 OL.

Dorsey is choosing to build around Smith through defense, TEs, running game. It's a good approach. I would much rather have a defense that can win us games at this point than tilt the balance and find more weapons for Alex Smith to underutilize. If we had unlimited dollars, go for it. But with limited dollars to spend, I'd rather have a #1 defense and #1 running game and force Smith to work within that. Alex Smith is not the type of QB I want to consistently be running the 2 minute drill, I don't care if he's throwing to AJ Green as his #1 receiving option.

You are missing the point. NE can get away with less weapons. They have TOM BRADY.

The chiefs have mediocre smith. You have to have elite weapons to make up for his limitations.
