It would have to be somebody with a strong emotional connection, which doesn't rule Han out (IF he is her dad), but I could also see her crying over a fallen village mate or other companion as well.

They've done a great job keep shit vague, which is wonderful. They should really get an award for that in this day and age.
I think Rey will be a Jedi. It's possible Kylo ****s up Finn, and pushes her that way. If Solo isn't the guy that goes down that's my next bet. Both are listed in episode 8 but that could be a swerve.

Honestly, I can see a lot of shit happening which is what makes this so great. I'm glad they've hid shit so well. Its also the reason I feel like I must see it opening night because I don't want it spoiled. It's going to be tough to do with all the shit I have going on then but **** sleep

They can go a number of ways, but from everything I've seen so far I expect it to be well done and awesome.

No. Thematically, that makes no sense.

If there's a character from the OT that dies in the new trilogy, it'll be Luke Skywalker, sacrificing himself the same way Obi Wan and his father sacrificed themselves so that a Force user would remain alive and on the light side of the Force.

Killing Solo does nothing but anger the fans and kill any enthusiasm for standalone movies. It's a terrible idea.

Solo sacrificing himself for the people he loves doesn't make sense thematically? I'll move on then.....

You're grasping at straws. First off, no one knows if anyone is related to anyone else. Killing Solo for the sake of killing Solo makes no sense.

If he's killed by a Sith or a bad guy, that's even dumber. He doesn't have any Force powers so someone with Force powers killing him is even more senseless.

And finally, if Han Solo is killed in any manner before the stand alone movie is released starring a completely different actor other than Harrison Ford, why would anyone go see it?

"Because it's Han Solo" doesn't justify hiring some of the best writers and directors working today to make his stand alone film.

Disney should just kill off Captain Jack Sparrow in the next Pirates movie, too, right?

The Solo movie is a young Han Solo right? It has nothing to do with if Solo dies in this movie.

I could see a lot of scenarios that make sense for a 60 some year old Han Solo could die. Does it mean it will happen? No. Is it grasping for straws? I don't think so. Is hearing Kylo Ren's voice turn into Luke Skywalkers in your studio grasping a little more than anything I've said? Probably.

Christ dude it's a ****ing movie. I'm throwing shit out like you are. There are plenty of scenarios I could see, and if they work then cool. Any Star Wars fans that are angerd by anything other than another shitty Star Wars movie probably need to take a deep breathe and step back.

My point is you can still tell a kick ass story of a great character knowing he will die years later. Everyone dies years later technially. I shouldn't invest myself in any of this because I know everyone is going to die?

These guys won't be around past this trilogy, and if it helps tell a story cool. If it doesn't then you are right, you don't do it just to do it. If Han Solo sacrificed himself to save Chewie, Leia, a kid, or someone he bonds with this film it makes sense for the charcter. Ford wanted to die in Empire and has always talked about that he couldn't do anymore with the Han Solo role. Me thinking he might be coming back to get his death scene may be wrong but it's not exactly grasping at straws either.

Harrison Ford is 72 years old, not in his 60's. But more importantly, 7-9 are about the next generation of Star Wars heroes.

It makes absolutely no sense for Han Solo to be killed "for people he loves" when we haven't seen an established relationship with those people on film! None, whatsoever. It would be cheap storytelling if he killed, with Rey crying "He was my dad".

What the ****? Why would we feel any sympathy for her when we just met her?

It might be Finn, not dead but just cut to shit by Kylo. Finn does have that "OH **** ME!!!" look in his eyes right before he swings his saber at Kylo, like he has no idea what he is doing kind of look. I'll assume Kylo has some saber training while Finn does not.

The guy came flying up behind to save Luke from Vader when he didn't know him long. I couldn't disagree more here

Doesn't mean it will happen or needs to happen, but that you can't see its even possible is hilarious to me.

You obviously have the movie in your head, and anything outside of the box will be an outrage. All good.

It's really fine to understand that not every opinion you have is overwhelming correct when you don't know.

Dissapointing Ben Zobrist endorses this post.

Again, I think it's great that we have all this speculation on what is or isn't with this film in this day and age, considering what excitement there is for it. Abrams must have gone half mad just putting security in place to make sure to keep leaks to an absolute minimum.

I think my favorite part is Disney won't kill people. Pretty much every Disney movie is influenced by death. No one loves a heavy tear jerking death more than Disney. Anyway, I know as little as anyone else. Let's see how it plays out. If I'm wrong, right or in the middle I could give 2 shits. I just want some good Star Wars movies.
