I'm actually pretty sure that isn't the case at all. LeBron plays with two superstars who need the ball to be useful players and still managed to put up historic efficiency and value stats. He puts up those stats because he's ****ing good and contributes more in all areas than everyone else does.

You're aware that one player getting hot at the right time doesn't change the fact that LeBron is the best and most versatile defender in the league, right?

It's definitely the case. He has to play an assload of minutes. So, his PER his higher. That's really the only reason.
And because the Heat don't have a point guard, he racks up assists, too, so that makes his PER even higher. Great player, but his PER wouldn't be the same on a good team.

I saw not only Terry do that last year, but Lebron couldn't "effectively" guard Dirk or Shawn Marion, who shot 48 percent in the Finals. Furthermore, Lebron's amazing, all world defense was nowhere to be found in the last two games of the year. The Mavericks had their way with Miami. I think he's a better off the ball defender than anything else. This idea that he can shut down anyone in the league one on one is a myth.

It's almost like you don't watch basketball at all when you make statements like this.

Well, he was alot more effective than the nobodies at the C position the Heat had been rolling out there the whole series. Made zero sense that Bosh wasn't out there at the end. Absolutely none. KG has been ripping the Heat apart. Layup after dunk after alley-oop, after dunk, because they have nobody who can match up with his length, except Bosh. No Bosh and no Finals. Even a half-effective Bosh is going to go a long way towards helping them beat a Boston team that doesn't have much length (other than KG) and doesn't have much depth.

If Miami and OKC play I'll take LeBron on KD over Battier. That's all I know. KD ****ed Kobe up in crunch time. He's getting better defensively all the time. I could really give a shit who's better individually. KD is good enough for me.
It's pointless discussing anything LeBron or Artest related with this guy. He never waivers. I'm amped up and heading to Bricktown. I haven't been this excited about a game in sometime. Thunder up bitches! |

The urge to ride Brons knob in this thread is strong. Sure hope the Celtics take the Heat out next game.

I've seen Dirk get owned by players like Haslem and Bowen.

There isn't a single player that has all the physical tools that LeBron James has.
Not today, and not in the past. He is more physically talented than Kevin Durant. But he has a propensity to come up small in the biggest moments. I don't want the most physically gifted. I want the guy that has the heart to finish.
