Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

I came here in April 2006 before you and from the start said I supported two teams. One from where I came, near Foxboro and also Boston, and one where I am now. I've used a Patriots avatar for a year from when Kraft's wife died. I actually have a third team for college football, though I never followed college football before. It's the Seminoles. I have it good with Minutemen, Pirates and Indians. Love those three themes. I can't always get a Patriots game here.

And, when I had to travel for a bit for work back around 2003 and I couldn't get a Pat's or Buc's game, I actually enjoyed watching the Chiefs. Ya' know when you had Trent Green.

I rarely(almost never) defend Buc but this is truth. She has always been consistent. (Consistently nutty, but consistent )

Well, if Brady likes the ball at 12.5, which he admits, then it would still be within the rules.

I read the fumble numbers article by Warren Sharp which frankly doesn't say it all. If your read the comments below his study, fault is found with his inputs and other points. There's also links to three other sites of other stat analysis debunking Sharp's inputs as garbage in equals garbage out. Figures lie and liars figure. He is claiming correlation for causation when that's not the case when other factors can explain the situation just as well but which he ignores. I went through all of them tonight.

How 'bout focusing on Seahawk players taking performance enhancing drug scandals since 2011? They have their own issues. What about that kind of cheating? Strangely, there's silence because they're not the Patriots. It's okay to hate, it's not okay to ignore other facts.

For starters, even using sharp's own data and charts, the Patriots first spiked in 2005, not 2007.

If you want to see a clown, take a look in the mirror. One will be staring back at you.

I forgot this one.

Your Guide To Deflate-gate/Ballghazi-Related Statistical Analyses

http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/y...ical-analyses/
The gist of the posts, written by a tout named Warren Sharp, is that the Patriots are a phenomenal statistical outlier when it comes to hanging onto the ball....

The data science community responded with a number of rebuttals (I put together a roundup of my favorite ones below). Collectively, these posts did a great job of breaking down the Statistics 101 problems with Sharp’s original analyses. But even if Sharp had been less sloppy, it would have been right to take issue with the larger implication of his work — that any major outlier, if shown to be statistically significant, should be seen as evidence of rule-breaking....

The harshest counterargument belonged to data scientist Drew Fustin. Fustin challenged Sharp’s choice to exclude dome teams (Sharp’s own post says outdoor teams barely fumble more often than those based in domes), instead looking at fumble rates across all teams in outdoor games only — whereupon the Patriots don’t even rank first in the NFL at fumble avoidance over the 2010-2014 period. He also questions whether Sharp’s decision to use that 2010-14 period was a case of cherry-picking the timeframe that would make the Patriots look most like an extreme outlier.
