It has absolutely nothing to do with Ws and Ls here. It's because he was always leveraging Mizzou for a better job. It's because he completely checked out his last year here (not even trying on the recruiting front anymore) and its because he lied his ass off mere hours before leaving. Yeah, Anderson took over a program that was in lousy shape, got some of the problem children like Horton off the team or out of the program (though Stefhon Hannah was his guy to begin with). He helped clean up the program. And then he rested on his laurels for 2 seasons while constantly job-hunting and sneaked out like a thief in the night. I don't see why people don't understand Mizzou angst here.

Some numbers I looked up from yesterday's game:
Mizzou averaged an incredible 1.86 points per shot. Arkansas averaged just 1.05. BJ Young scored 27 of their 53 points. He averaged 1.5 points per shot. Jabari Brown scored 23 and averaged 1.92 points per shot. Bowers averaged 1.85. Mizzou also grabbed just over 70% of the rebounds. Absolutely dominating performance.

Great win for MU. Good to see Haith go after Anderson like that as well.

It was also a team he wasn't winning w/ and had quit on him the yr before so I am not sure what is the point. Haith made them what they were last yr. You need to look more at the sequence of the following events to fully understand our ire w/ that slimeball. Consider that after year 3 Anderson leveraged the Georgia opening into a nice raise. I've got no problem w/ that in an isolated instance. The market sets what a coach is worth and you can pay him or not. After year 4 he attempted to leverage the Oregon opening into another raise, MU called his bluff and he stayed. Again, I've got no problem w/ that in an isolated instance for the same reasons as above. Then, after year 5 that rat said he wasn't leaving when it was obvious he was in the middle of Feb. Flat out lied through his teeth when he should have just said no comment. It wasn't like there were any incoming recruits or whatever to protect. The liar left us w/ 0 guys signed for the next season and then slithered out of town in embarrassing fashion and claimed he would never have left for any other job after holding our feet to the fire over other openings the two previous years. His behavior was cowardly. Again though, if circumstances were different and he had left us w/ some incoming players in terms of recruits and he hadn't spent the last two years threatening to leave etc mismanaging his exit strategy would not have been that big of a deal after getting over the initial sting. Add them all up and he's a guy that seemingly as soon as he started winning had one foot out the door, lied, half assed his last season, quit recruiting and as a result left Haith w/ some players for one season that lol had quit on him and left him behind the 8 ball in regards to all subsequent seasons. Haith has done a masterful job piecemealing this roster together given the circumstances and LMA can kiss my ass.

I expect Arky fans to love LMA. He is one of them. That is fine. Arky fans acting like they don't get why MU fans hate him are ignorant.

A lot of how Mizzou played last season was in spite of Mike Anderson. He couldn't (or wasn't invested enough to) get those guys to play together. When he left like he did, it gave them something in common, and galvanized them as a team.

Let's not give Haith too much credit. Last year's team was motivated by their hatred of Anderson, who left them at the altar. They also had a terrific X's and O's guy in Nestor. Losing him really hurt the team. He was a wonderful coach.

I'm glad hes gone, I got sick of the guys herky jerky system. It was streetball and nothing more. The constant open shots and open lay ups was just frustrating. Too night and day, it would either kick the opposing teams ass or get your ass kicked, there was no in between. There is a reason that nobody else plays that system other than Pitino but his press style is different so that doesn't really count. All in all it doesn't work, 40 minutes of wtf will only get you so far and the Hog fans will see that in due time.
