I had no idea PAC 12 was that bad. I did watch a little of an Arizona game a week or so ago and they did look sharp, quick, and disciplined. I hadn't seen them all season, but they looked good. Good enough I don't want to be the 2 in their bracket.

I see that by making a joke of it you are trying to deflect the heat your manlove of Smart is getting. No way you can defend that slap. Smart is a very good player. But it's the other crap in his game that makes him less of a player, IMO. Slapping and flopping are not basketball. It's cheap crap that talented players should never resort to doing. I have to admit that I was a Smart defender earlier in the season; but I have grown weary of his tactics.

I'd prefer to see a quick NCAA tourney exit for that squad and watch him slink off to the league. He better get a shot though, or he isn't going to be shit at the next level.

But it is a joke. That's just about the tamest reflex "slap" I've ever seen. In fact, Embiid did pretty much exactly the same thing in a game earlier this year to a KSU player except harder.

The hate has grown strong enough that some in this thread are actually making their own homemade Smart jerseys and videos. It's beyond hilarious. He's in your heads!

He's not in my head, but like I posted before, all this crap is a pretty ****ing huge black mark on a dude that was pretty untouchable to start the season off.

He's taken a colossal step back IMO. Probably not in the NBA scouts eyes, which ultimately is who matters, but with fans, he's not nearly the player/man that we thought he was.

Take a look at the link Bearcat posted. He was playing exactly the same way as last year (at least in terms of flopping and exaggerating contact). The only difference is that his team won more games last year, which apparently led people to turn a blind eye towards it.

He's everything I thought he was. The fact that he's been able to essentially save his team's disappointing season since coming back says more about him as a basketball player/competitor than anything he did last year for them.

Funny indeed, but it does tell you the extent to which Smart is in his head. The hate is strong there.

In the pure flopping category though, I'd give five clowns to the ISU double flop and the 2nd to last one in that link where one second he's bent over trying to find the ball, then suddenly flails backwards like Ellis had just poked him in both eyes with sharp sticks.
