I read that XBOX online was down for an entire two weeks a couple years back. These things are technically huge, and outages will happen.

yea xbox was hacked 4 weeks into its debut that took a couple weeks to recover. this isn't playstation. its hackers. they could very well hack xbox again.

These pricks ride herd on your ass and get their $ out of you when your console goes down and needs repair. They don't give two screws. you should look into apple tv. has mlb network, netflix, youtube and all that other stuff as well if you have an itunes account you can stream movies and music from your comp to your tv. Also itunes marketplace.

Do you think PS or any of them give two flying shits about consumers' consoles the second they're out of warranty? No, they don't care nor should they. Why the **** should I care about their excuses? I'm not in the Salvation Army, this isn't a charity. It is a business relationship. Oh, lightning struck your shit? Screw you, fix it. Hackers jumped your business? Bummer, fix it. They're professionals and get paid to do the work and I expect them to do it. Why on earth should I sit here and accept their excuses? Would they extend my warranty one day if I got the yellow ring of death? Hell no they wouldn't. They would say, "Yellow ring of death? Out of warranty? Well then, f you. Pay me."

I can confirm sonys customer service. Had my first ps3 die 2 month old. Called for warranty, they asked what cables i used, 3rd party? warranty voided, no exceptions. Just looking for ways to get out of their warranty i guess. shrewd business. Learned my lesson, exchanged for a new one at target. Wont pay full price for a sony product for the rest of my life.

So yeah, boohoo sony fix your goddman network.

Anyone pick up the new SOCOM? I used to prefer it over COD on the PS2, but never tried the last release because I heard it was bad. Just curious if anyone has played the new one yet.
