That IS my point! Smith will just overthrow those elite weapons or ignore them while he is checking down. You can't run from the issue. I thought he turned the corner after the playoff game. He fooled me. I'm done with him. |

And I can respect that. But I'm talking from the perspective of where the chiefs are. They signed him, so they have to build around him. They made their bed.

Yep, they did make their bed by extending him. I get that they won't have the balls to give one of the young guys a legitimate chance to start and we are stuck with him so don't expect anything different unless we have a top 2 defense of all time the next two years. |

There have been plenty of deep routes ran and open all year but Alexis (I know that pisses some off) won't throw deep unless the man has a 7 step lead on the DB. Andy will go deep, I saw it in Philly. Andy is better than anything we have had in years and while Smith is way better than Cassel, he just can't or won't make the throws you need a big time QB make to win big time games. Bray has the arm and mentality. I am 200 percent sure he would throw more picks but at least he will go down slinging instead of dinking and dunking and I put a lot of that on ole cap'n checkdown. |

Yep, and I don't see him ever developing it. That's the problem in a nutshell. He is not horrible like Cassel, just has no balls. |

Yeah, keep drafting lineman because that is what has gotten the Chiefs so many rings.......Mediocre cast off QB and great lines didn't even get us rings in the past. **** that bullshit line excuse. The ONLY ****ing reason we even sniffed an AFC championship since 1969 was because of old ass (but still great) JOE ****ING MONTANA....The GOAT in my book. |

I can't hold it in any longer. Bono, Grbitch, Huard, Deberg, Krieg, etc. Same result. When will this franchise give a young QB a ****ing chance? Len Dawson winning ruined this franchise apparently, because they think that just because they got lucky once with a castoff, that is the way to go.
And even THEN, we had a top 5 defense of all time. |

I am just disappointed in Smith because I really thought he turned the corner down the stretch last year and in the playoff game.
The shame of it all is we are wasting Jamaal and other's prime careers with game managing QBs. It doesn't consistently work, you are just hoping for lightning in a bottle. |

Getting the forehead to retire will help as well because apparently, we are his bitch....and I absolutely hate admitting that fact because I hate the deeply and I don't respect the pampered princess queen of the regular season.
