With the league cracking down on the availability of players due to concussions, there's no way I'd touch him with a first round pick. |

it' only a hypothetical...but if bradford is on WVU, with a sieve OL and the worst D in college, I don't think he performs like Smith

I also think for both Wilson and Smith, if you put them on USC, they just freaking light it up. Better line talent than either of them had (notable due to just how bad USC's line was) and by far better skill position talent than Wilson had this season (not Smith, obviously). I still say if Smith's a 9-win QB he's on the stage for the Heisman ceremony, with the exact same stats he posted as a 7-win QB. That's how much I think those two one-point losses (which he'd put the team ahead late, as you know...) hurts how he's perceived. And there's likely no debate at all about his status on early draft boards. |

if WVU beats OU, which they should have, Smith has the brand name upset just like RG3 and resets the whole narrative about his season...instead, we end up with RunKC doing 'research' on youtube... agree about Wilson and Smith at USC as well...I am torn on Barkley...have loved him since his frosh performance at Ohio St., loved him last year, then this year he just makes some really bad throws i'd still take him, though, if that is what it comes down to

I thought that Bradford was a complete joke at #1 overall. He spent his college career in the spread and was injured for a year. I thought he'd be an awful NFL QB. |

Well, first off, I think Bradford was in a much better situation at OU. That place is a talent factory.
Second, IIRC, Bradford had alot of injury concerns heading into the draft, and still went first overall. I think Geno's bad defense hurt him a little, and he didn't put up the numbers late he did early. As far as a prospect, I think Smith is a little better in that he's built a little sturdier and has a better arm. |

stafford had major wow factor coming out...his arm was as electric as any i've ever seen in college....he was a bit erratic, but then would blow your mind with a throw...I never wanted a QB like I wanted him
Smith doesn't have his arm...but is a much more composed passer Luck and RG3 have made it impossible to evaluate QBs potential though...totally skewed expectations stafford was a bigger deal coming out, imo...but he'd suffer the same as this class in the post-Luck era Bradford didn't hold a candle to Stafford coming out, imo...but i admit to still being biased against the spread then

I have to think BPA has multiple factors that are included when evaluating. Need and position would have to be a part of the equation.

Otherwise, in the 2012 draft, when the Pack needed defense it was just a lucky coincidence that the best player available when they picked in every round just happened to be a defensive player.

I just can't really figure them taking Joeckel. New GM's and HC's mean new QB's. Best place to find a good QB, percentage wise, is early in the first round.
I think we're working ourself up, before we even know whats gonna happen. |

Barkley's my #3 guy, but if that's who they went with, I'd be fine with it. I don't think he's really all that different than Matt Ryan when he came out of BC. Right situation (and a WCO team would be that) and he might thrive.

Well, he's quite a bit shorter and not as physically sturdy. That doesn't mean that he won't have a nice career but it should be somewhat of a concern, however mild.

I've never understood why the players allow themselves to be misrepresented physically, especially knowing that everyone will eventually find out. |

I watched Barkley quite a bit this year, I tend to think his arm strength questions are a little overblown. He doesn't have a launcher by any means and he obviously now has health questions, but it's not bad.
