Freeman will be someones starter next year, not a back up. I want our own home grown qb but he is talented. We have been down this road over and over and must get out of it. No. Draft geno.

The whole "I just want our own drafted quarterback" is understandable. I feel the same way. But in the end, I don't care where the guy comes from, just want a successful franchise QB.

Historically, those successful franchise QBs come from one place and one place only.

The draft.

I don't care where the QB comes from either, but while we're searching for our guy, it makes zero sense to invest at all in other teams' backups and free agents. Why? Because the success rate is so goddamn low.

Trying to find your franchise QB from a backup is like trying to find a franchise QB in the 5th round and beyond.

Why not try the EASIEST way to get a franchise QB? Hell, not just why not. Why the **** would you try any other method?
