Chiefs announce Bray as the backup QB
http://arrowheadaddict.com/2016/05/2...p-quarterback/
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid made a surprising declaration on Tuesday afternoon. The Chiefs are still a little more than two months away from the start of training camp in St. Joe’s, but we already have some very interesting news on the depth chart front. Reid has proclaimed that Tyler Bray, not Aaron Murray or Kevin Hogan, is entering training camp as the primary backup quarterback to Alex Smith. Murray was a fifth-round pick back in 2014 while Hogan was a fifth-round selection in April. Despite being an undrafted free agent in 2013, Bray has stuck on the roster but never appeared or been active for a game in the regular season. He was placed on injured reserve last year after sustaining a torn ACL in a pickup basketball game. Bray has all the physical tools you could want. He’s 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds and at 24 years old, might finally be seizing the moment after sitting behind Chase Daniel and Murray. It will be fascinating to see if Bray can hold off Murray and Hogan in camp, not having thrown a competitive pass in two years. |

Tiger Blackbob told me that Kevin Hogan is already Tom Brady, and he'll win the #2 spot because of the shit he did in college.

Nobody has an edge. Nobody is really even behind. The jerking off over a guy being named #2 in OTA's is just comical. This was obvious from the jump; Reid's not dumb and Bray's not devoid of talent. It makes all the sense in the world to see what he has and burying him on the depth chart wouldn't have allowed that. It means absolutely nothing more than that.

Bray.. Murray.. Hogan.. whatever -they're all JAGs in the end.
They're not going to prove anything by throwing to 6th/7th stringers in the preseason.

And this is why....
http://m.chiefs.com/news/article-2/E...5-a1c39166f833 - During one of the offensive sessions, it only took backup candidate Tyler Bray two throws to get into the end zone-the first pass was a ball more than 50 yards in the air to wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who made a great catch down the sideline. WR Da'Ron Brown followed that play up with a diving catch for the touchdown. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He had three seasons out of eleven in which he threw more than 3,500 yards, the best of which featured HOF WR Terrell Owens. He never threw for 4K. |
