Anyone getting a little excited? Seems like they have really made an effort this year.

Franchise mode is getting an overhaul according to recent news:

1. Full player editing while your franchise is progressing.



2. Coaching/FO decisions.



3. In-game ticker with live updates.



4. Practice squads.



5. New commentary team that will actually talk about things happening in your franchise.

6. Draft has been tweaked with more busts/gems.

Gameplay improvements:

1. Zone Coverage overhaul.



2. New ball-carrier special moves.

3. Real gap control on defense.

4. Real ball physics. In the past the ball would tether to a player based on ratings.

They also overhauled kicking to make it a challenge now. There's a new three-click system and weather/location will play a factor. Also, apparently on clutch kicks if the opponent "freezes" the kicker by calling a timeout the kicking meter will disappear and you have to make the kick by muscle memory. Kicks and punts can also be blocked.

How badly all of this shit is ****ed up on release remains to be seen but it does seem like they are making a big effort.

So how long's Clark gonna let you run the show when you've driven the Chiefs from the 9th most valuable franchise in the league to the 25th in a mere 4 months or so?

That's a pretty impressive tank job right there.

EDIT: And where do you plan to play all these OLBs? I presume dealing Houston is now part of your rebuild?

Hey, it's not MY fault Alex Smith had 34 turnovers and the interior OL couldn't stop anyone.

Besides, I'm playing in owner mode, so I AM Clark Hunt.

Houston was converted to DE and will remain there. I'll convert Meeks, either trade or bench Hali depending on cap ramifications and off we go.

Well given that he has 30 ints in the last five years, I'm gonna have to say that perhaps his turnovers are your fault.

game is really good.
I've only been in 'play now mode' as I'm getting used to the game. Started out on Rookie, but I'm on Pro now as I've gotten used to the flow/controls. I like the fact that one game I can DOMINATE, and the next it can be one possession game for most of the game, in either direction.

I'd say overall, wild assed gues, I'm probably hovering around .600 in the last 20 or so games I've played. i usually only have time to play 2 or 3 a night during the week, if at all. I'm hoping with the three day weekend ahead, I'll be able to jump into the franchise mode.

Scouting is harder this year. The first attribute costs the most instead of the least, so you have to be picky about who you scout.

I'd say I had full scouting reports (3 attributes) on about 50% of the prospects, 1 or 2 attributes on the next 30% and NO reports on the last 20%.

I'm literally forced to pick players based only on projected round and combine reports now in the 5th-7th rounds.
